'Touch My Body' - Mariah Carey

. . .

ANALISE'S POV

I felt the blood rush rapidly beneath my skin, my heart pounding inside my chest as Matt led us hand-in-hand to the balcony overlooking the city.

He stood along the edge of the railing squeezing my hand which was still wrapped tightly in his.

"Woah." I breathed out in awe, feeling the crisp Winter air blow across my face, making my nose tingle as I stared at the New York City landscape.

"I-I... Woah." He stammered, clearly as amazed as I was, blinking several times as if he thought he was dreaming.

"You- You've got something in your hair." I smiled, letting out a small laugh while I brushed out the specks of white snow from his soft blonde hair.

"You've got something on you, right there." He smiled warmly and somewhat lovingly, as he inched closer towards me, his breath heavy and shaky as he smiled down at me. "Right there." He repeated himself, brushing his soft lips against my own.

"Kiss me already." I blurted out, impulse taking over as I pulled him down slightly so our lips met, and his hands rested low on my hips as the kiss progressed, slow and gentle like the falling snow.

Pulling away he grinned, resting his head in the crook of my neck as he chuckled lightly. "I don't know what to say."

"What do you mean?" I asked, feeling bare once he moved his face from my neck, seating me on his lap on the nearby couch.

"I don't know. This didn't happen last time- I didn't feel like this." He explained, a sheepish smile still on his face as he looked down whilst fiddling with his fingers.

"Like what, Matt?" I asked cautiously. He said 'last time'.

Last time as in what? Victoria?

'I didn't feel like this.'

I kept repeating those words in my head. This. Maybe he wasn't in love with me after all; maybe what he had with her was real. It wasn't this - this simple crush.

"Oh.. Don't worry, actually." I muttered, as I escaped from his hold.

"What? Hey where are you going?"

"I- I think I should go."

"It didn't feel like this." I heard him whisper before I spun around to leave.

"I didn't feel like this, Lise," He exclaimed, grabbing hold of my wrist, turning me around slowly so we were hand in hand yet again.

"E-Every time I see you, it's like the first. My stomach clenches and I get all sweaty and jittery and feel undeniably drawn to you. Every time I'm with you, I feel like my heart will pace out of my chest and I begin to question my sanity, because I can't help but wonder if this was it."

"I- Matt what's happening?" I managed. I felt weak and shaky as he spoke; the heat rising through my body despite the icy air and the snow sprinkling down on us.

"I don't know exactly how to say this as swift as they do in the movies, and I k-know I'm pretty shit at this, but," He breathed out in jagged intervals before grinning down nervously, "But I do know that I am completely and utterly falling in love."

"With you." He hastily added, messily brushing a hand through the messily done snow-covered quiff.

"Do you.. I mea-"
