Song for the chapter:

'Intoxicated' - The Cab (MY NEW FAVE SONG! OMG YOU GUYS NEED TO HEAR IT)

. . .

CAMERON’S POV

“Dude, I don’t know if you’ve realised by now, but you’re not Matthew.” I joked as Hayes came walking over to the seat beside me, propping his hand carry in the headboard above.

“Wow - I hadn’t noticed.” He replied sarcastically as he shut the overboard door, then moved to sit next to me; still ignoring my statement.

“Seriously, where’s Matt?” I asked hayes as I fished through my pocket, reaching for my phone.

“We switched, relax – it’s not like I trapped him in the bathroom or anything.” He chuckled and like me, opened up his phone – probably to switch it to airplane mode.

“You switched seats? Why?” I asked, getting up onto my knees to search the cabin, from my chair. He couldn’t of been far; we all booked seats within just one section to the right of the plane.

“I guess he wanted to sit with An-”

I stopped him before he could finish his sentence when I spotted the both of them chatting it up about two rows back, and slumped back down in my seat, throwing my hands harshly into my pocket, digging my nails into the palm of my hand out of frustration.

“I wish I could’ve locked him in the bathroom.” I muttered under my breath as I threw in a headphone to hopefully block out this whole plane trip.

I knew that this would happen. He gets to be a dick for the first fucking three weeks of this trip while all I am is good to her and become her friend, then BAM! He’s miraculously turned into a saint and swoops in, stealing Analise from me.

Even though technically she never was mine.

But she is the girl I really desperately want to be able to call mine.

“Hmm? Did you say something?” Hayes asked as he tapped his phone, not even paying attention as he continued to scroll through.

“No I-”

“Cam shut up for a sec, yeah? I’m going to make a Vine.” He instructed blatanly.

“You should really switch it to airplane m-”

“Shh!” He ordered harshly and threw his hand over my mouth as he pressed the button to record, rotating his phone up in the air to get the shot of the whole plane.

Including Analise and Matthew getting friendly a couple rows away.

And sadly Hayes still covering my mouth while he laughed to the camera.

What a great listener he is. [sarcasmmm]

I thought Matt and I were meant to be friends. And I’m pretty sure that when one of you goes psycho, the other helps you through it until your fairly stable. And being the guy I am, me and Carter bring him back to speed with life until he’s almost the Matthew we used to have.

The one where we could say anything and it wouldn’t send him into a fit of hysterics, or where we could just have a day boarding around, or at the beach or- I was getting carried away on what we used to do.

But this was a whole new Matthew now.

And he was driving me insane. Why couldn’t he just back off of Analise? It was bloody clear as day that he only wanted her because she looked like Victoria, and he wasn’t over her yet.
