Song for the chapter:
'Drunk' - Ed Sheeran (EVEN THOUGH NO ONE'S DRUNK, IDC)

CARTER’S POV
I think my jaw nearly fell off.
That was literally my first response to it all.
“Carter!” He whined, lightly pushing my shoulder back as he closed his eyes, scrunching up his face.
“W-What?” I chuckled, trying my best to play it cool.
This was anything but fucking cool; unless losing your bestest ever friend to a girl, who will probably turn out to be a backstabbing bitch like his ex, is counted as ‘cool’.
“Don’t give me that look alright? I know I stuffed up – It just hurts so bad to have to admit it.” He explained, his eyes softening as each word went by.
“So you kissed he-”
“I thought we were past this already?”
“Do you want my advice, or not?” I asked as he let out a sigh and flopped onto his back until he was lying on the bed, eventually giving in with a small nod.
“So after… you know, you kissed her – did she stop you? Did she tell you she was into Cam? What happened?” I pleaded, wanting a recount of what happened.
Not for creepy, perverted reasons; more like ‘how to figure this whole thing out’ reasons.
“She pulled away and she basically just looked me in the eye and said, ‘Camero-”
“Hold up, she just said his na-”
“Will you listen?!” He instructed impatiently, running his hand through his messy blonde hair, before he continued.
“She said his name, and I asked what she meant and if I had done anything, then she basically came out and said that Cam asked her out and she said yes – You happy now?!” He finished, taking a breath before throwing his hands onto his face, as he began to massaging his temples.
“But how did you react?”
“How do you think I reacted? I was fricken embarrased as shit because I thought that maybe I’d have a cha-”
“Nothing happened.” I stated, putting my plan into action – this was the perfect way to keep Matthew, Matthew. No Ana, no problems.
“What do you mean? It obviously did happ-”
“Nothing happened; act as if your fine. Ignore it. Pretend like your not hurt. Block her out if that’s the easiest thing to do.” I stated, trying to hide the smirk on my face with a look of empathy.
“Do that, and she’ll never see how much she hurt you, and she’ll let it go.” I finished.
“Act like I don’t even care…” He pondered to himself, bringing his head up to face me. “Carter you’re a genius.”
“What can I say? That’s what friends are for.”

ANALISE’S POV
I straightened the last strand of hair before slipping on my shoes. I did my final check in the mirror and straightened out my skirt and ‘Peter-Pan’ collared top before I was satisfied.
‘First date Ana. Don’t blow this.’ I scolded myself as I gathered my phone and bag. ‘Alright; all set.’
“Well you look nice, don’t you?” A very familiar voice pointed out from the doorframe. Taking a quick peek in the reflection of the mirror to see who it was, I turned around and flashed a small smile to my brother.
“Why thankyou.” I joked and twirled around.
“Listen, I want you to have fun and be safe, alright?” He ordered as he walked up to me, placing his hands on my shoulders as he looked me in the eye.
Wait? What was he going on about - there was no way possible he knew I was about to go on a date. If he did know, I wouldn’t be allowed.
“How did you kn-”
“He asked my permission the night we arrived here.” He said, trying to hold back a smile.
“He asked for your permission? Old school…” I laughed as Nash embraced me in a quick hug.
“He’s a good guy, and if you were to be with any of them, it should be Cam.” He whispered into my hair before letting go.
“Nash it’s our first date. You can slow it down.”
“I know, I know – And I’m not suggesting that I like the idea of you having a relationship, but if you were to end up in a realtionship; I trust Cam.”
“I trust him too, don’t worry.” A new voice piped up, ruinging our cute little ‘brother-sister’ moment.
“Hey Cam.” I beamed, squeezing my brother’s hand before letting go and making my way over to my date, who was dressed nicely in a pair of jeans, a button up tee, and Vans.
“Hey Ana.” He smiled, pulling me in for a small akward hug.
“Hey! You remember the agreement?” Nash exclaimed, pointing his index finger out directly at Cameron.
“Yes, Nash – don’t you worry.”
“Alright, be back by 10:30,have Ana text me every hour on the dot.” Nash explained, now looking at me.
I couldn’t help but laugh at him; he was so loving and protective, and it was good and all. But I wasn’t a baby, afterall I was basically a year and a couple days younger than him.
“And no, I repeat absolutely no kissing. Are we clear?” He finally finished stressing, as he finished the ‘terms and conditions’ of our date.
“Now go have fun and have an innocent get together.” He grinned as he waved us off out of my own room, and into the lounge room.
“Use protection!” Someone, presumably Aaron and/or Taylor belted at the top of their lungs as we made our way through the suite, to the front door.
“There will be NO fricken need for sexual protection on that date, to you hear?” Nash screamed in reply, making Cameron and I exchange awkward looks and smiles.
Way to set the mood.
“Ready for our date?” He asked, wiggling his eyebrows as he returned to his normal-self, guiding me out the front door so that we could head out and away from these maniacs.
But not before fate decided to fuck us up and make us bump into Matthew Espinosa.
What a coincidence...
