Patton and I cuddled on the couch and I fell asleep in his arms.

When I woke up, I was a few feet off the ground because Patton was carrying me to my room. I was still very drowsy.

"Pattooooon?"

"You're awake! Do you want to walk to your room instead?"

"Nooooo, carry meee."

And I quickly fell asleep again as he opened my bedroom door and he set me down on my bed before closing the door and leaving to his room.

And everything from that point on was absolutely perfect.

Roman and Logan still talked some shit about me - well, obviously more from Roman than Logan - but the book didn't increase in size rapidly each day like it had before.

I mean, except for when Patton gushed about me. Those conversations went on for pages and pages. And I really, really loved reading them.

When I sat down at breakfast right next to Patton, nobody moved away.

Roman stayed put. He didn't scowl or mutter an insult he thinks I didn't hear under his breath.

It was... calm.

Was he afraid of me? Was my threat the only reason he's acting this way? Why now? Why didn't he treat me decently before?

Patton left the table for a minute to get something from his room, so I ate my food in silence.

I heard a loud blast and glitter exploded everywhere, onto my hair and clothing. I looked around. Who the f-

Patton's the one with invisibility pin.

God damnit. "Patton, if you aren't so cute, I would murder you!"

Invisible Patton giggled hysterically. "You look like a unicorn!"

I groaned but laughed as Roman and Logan watched in confusion. Neither of them had heard me laugh before. Only Patton has seen this side of me.

He reappeared in front of me after pressing his pin again. I yelped and he captured my lips in a sweet kiss, which I quickly returned.

And Roman had that fucking look on his face again.

What does he want?

*not virgil's pov*

"Are you sure, Roman? This sounds like a terrible idea. It could ruin Virgil's life! He's so happy now!"

"Yes, I'm sure! I'm always sure, Microsoft Nerd!"

"This could be the worst mistake you've ever made."

"Or it could be the best."

"I highly doubt that. Think about it. You've been nothing but cruel to him. Do you think he'll throw himself into your arms right after this?"

"I don't know... But still. It's worth a try."

"You really aren't understanding him, are you? He is the embodiment of Anxiety! This could metaphorically tear him to pieces!"

"Yeah, right. I know what I'm doing, nerd. Give me that."

"Have you no brain?! I will n- hey!"

"I'm leaving with this now. Good night."
