*tw: description of injuries. also pls note that i have no idea how to treat certain injuries. do you put an ice pack on someone with a concussion or is that completely useless?? idfk im guessing everything here*

*roman's pov*

I was given back full control of my body right as Virgil started to fall out of the window.

No. No. No.

How would I save him? He's falling too fast and I couldn't possibly run down several flights of stairs and make it in time.

So I could either jump and fall under him to catch him and possibly die or do nothing and watch him die.

I instantly knew what to do. I scrambled onto the windowsill and Patton screamed. He was in control of himself as well and so was Logan.

"Roman, don't! You could totally get super hurt!" he protested.

"I'll be okay," I promised. "But for now I have to hurry!"

He was going to say something, but I had already jumped out of the window, grabbed Virgil's arm and pulled him on top of me. I knew it was going to be painful, but... Heroes make sacrifices, don't they?

He hit his head pretty hard and every bone in my body ached. I felt incredibly dizzy before I blacked out. Hopefully he'd wake up.

*patton's pov*

I didn't dare look out the window in fear of what I'd see. But when I did, I-

Oh dear God!

Oh no!

Oh no!

I grabbed Logan's hand and sprinted down the stairs, nearly falling face first onto them a few times. I swung the front door open and ran to where Virgil and Roman would be.

Neither of them were moving and I started crying.

*logan's pov*

I tried to stay calm and stop Patton from crying, but I couldn't.

Patton picked up Virgil and I picked up Roman and we hurried back into the house to set them down and see if they were okay.

Virgil seemed much better than Roman did since Roman cushioned his fall. He was still breathing but I knew he'd have at least a mild concussion. I sent Patton to make him comfortable and get him ice for his head. I had to put a large band-aid on his forehead because it got scratched on the ground.

Roman was... Mortifying. He was still breathing, but he had some broken bones and a sprained ankle and his face was bleeding in multiple places. I cleaned and wrapped a bandage around his forehead. Then, I placed a band-aid to his cheek which got scratched on a rock outside.

I rushed to find Patton, who was most likely in Virgil's room. He wasn't there, so I checked his room. Virgil was in his bed, unconscious, with Patton surrounding him with pillows and flowers.

Of course he'd take him to his room. He had the most pillows out of all of us - even more than Roman.

"Patton, I have to take Roman to the mind's hospital. He has a broken arm and a sprained ankle."

Patton's eyes widened. "Okay." I could tell he was silently praying to himself that his metaphorical children were okay.

I rushed back downstairs, grabbed Roman, and hauled him to the hospital.

When I checked in, I was greeted by a nurse named Remy. His face scrunched up and he looked at me with concern.
