*third person pov*
Due to the recent traumatic event, Roman hadn't left his room in five days.
Virgil tried to open it once to give Roman some food, but that only caused Roman to back away into the corner and cry. So Virgil asked Patton to do it.
Patton would slowly open the door and give Roman meals, but he'd have to convince Roman that Virgil wasn't there.
Sometimes Virgil would sit with his back against Roman's door, waiting for him to leave and say hi to everyone again, but he never did.
Virgil tried one last time. "Roman? Hey... It's Virgil. I know you don't believe me when I say that it wasn't me who did all those things to you. I get it. He's really good at lying. Roman, you know I don't want to hurt you ever. I love you more than I love anyone else and I miss you so much. I brought you some soup and brownies. Please eat. No talking necessary. I just hope you're staying at least somewhat healthy."
There was no response.
"Please, Roman. Just let me know you're okay at least. I don't want to lose someone again." Sweet memories of the time he spent with Patton flooded his head and he fell down with his back again the door.
At that, the door swung open, and Virgil fell backwards into Roman's room, where the disheveled prince held him protectively.
Virgil beamed. "Roman! You're oka- well- maybe not..."
Roman had bags under his eyes and he was wearing sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt.
To make him feel better, Virgil kissed all over his face and held his hand. "You're safe with me, I promise."
"That's what Deceit said..." Roman choked out.
"Don't listen to him ever again. He can manipulate you easily, but if he does it again, please know it's not me. I love you and I won't hurt you. I couldn't risk losing you!"
He put his hand on Roman's cheek and asked him, "can I kiss you?"
Roman nodded and Virgil kissed him softly.
"Do you want to cuddle?" he asked.
Roman laughed a little. "Yeah, I do."
(a/n: y'know, im a little surprised that in the previous chapter when virge said roman basically threw him out of the room, nobody made a 'this bitch empty, yEET' joke
