Chapter 26 - Liar

I have to admit. The reason why I chose to have Rina on a mission to Suna is because I'm too lazy to write the battle scenes and I don't want to copy. She'll still be a part of the Konoha invasion, so we good?

Before I can leave, of course, I have to say my goodbyes and goodlucks. My bags and weapons were ready to go. As soon as I'm done here, I'm gone.

I head over to the building where the Third Exam was taking place. Someone brushes past my shoulder, then stops to look at me.

"Princess", Satomi greets.

"Oh hey. How are you?"

"Fine."

"Uh oh. You sound unhappy. Tell mama what's wrong", I tease lightly, pouting my lips.

He glares softly, "My team didn't make it."

"I'm sorry. I'm sure you'll train harder and pass next year, correct?" I ask, my mouth curving up, "After all, you are from the Hidden Crystal."

He chuckles, "Of course. I wouldn't want to upset the Princess."

"That wouldn't be very good, now would it?" I smirk.

"Nope", he grins.

We say our farewells and I enter the stands to meet with the team.

"Rina!" a certain hyperactive blonde shouts. Heads look toward our direction.

"Ignore him", I told the crowd, flashing a smile.

The one and only, Kakashi, comes over to join me and I see three others following him like little ducklings.

"Hey. What did the Hokage want?" Kakashi asks.

"I have a mission that will take up a month or two. I have to leave today", I reply, resisting a grimace. I'm not a fan of those long missions.

He doesn't ask anymore question, but the others are shocked.

"What?! To where?!" screams Naruto. I wince.

"Suna. Now, shut it", I snap, quietly, "You all are a pain in the ass."

Naruto anime cries in his own sad corner, while the rest of us discuss my little trip away.

"Sasuke, get that curse mark sealed and I know you can beat your opponents' butts. If you don't, I'm breaking up with you", I tease.

He smirks, "Well, I guess I have to win."

"Sakura, I'm proud of you. You cried only once during the Exams and you chopped off your hair, which I know is hard. Good for you", I congratulate.

She glares lightly, but smiles afterward.

"Naruto, stop moping and come over here."

He brightens up and comes over to see what I had to say. I was thinking about just saying "You did fine" and walking away, but that's cruel.

"You've grown so much during the Exams. You fought off the enemies and from what I've heard, you were fearless and strong", I grin happily. I sound like a mom.

"You all are so annoying, but I'm going to miss you", I pout.

"No speech for me?" Kakashi tease.

"Um no. I ran out of things to say", I smile innocently.

When I see him frown, I offer, "But! You get a 'I love you'?"

He shrugs and walks off, paying attention to the battle. Naruto and Sakura follow him after giving a hug, which I did not need, and a short "bye".
