Chapter 36

Third Person P.O.V.

"STAR!!!" Gray yelled bloody murder as he slid to the ground, looking down at Star with tears in his eyes while Jake eyes were still wide with shock. "No! Star!!" Jake yelled as he hovered his shaking hands over Stars body while Gray lifted up Stars head in his hand. 'S-Star....you can't leave Gray yet....' Juvia cried as she covered her mouth with her hands, tears falling down her cheeks while Merdy's eyes widen a bit in shock. "S-Star." Gray and the others weren't the only ones losing someone in the battle field. People from the others guilds were about to get killed like Romeos father and Laxus of the Fairy Tail Guild. "Shelia!! Where are you!? SHELIA!! SHELIA!!!" Lyon called loudly as his tears fell down his eyes while Gray clutched his hands tightly. "We need you! You're the only one who can save her! Please come! SHE'LL DIE!" Lyon cried out as he looked over to Stars body, watching the color slowly drain from her body while he furrowed his eyebrows, crying a bit. Some people might not know this, but Lyon and Star were good friends since Lyon found out that she was Grays pupil and Lyon wanted to get to know her so he also trained her a bit. They knew each other for almost seven years and Lyon was just as heart broken as Gray was since he felt a brother sister connection with Star. "I'm sorry......I think it's too late....S-Star!" Merdy yelled as she cried out in sorrow, shutting her eyes while Gray shook his head, his hair shadowing his eyes. "N-No!! She wasn't suppose to die like this!" Gray yelled as he brought Star into his lap, hugging her body closer to him while he shook his head side to side. "S-She was suppose to live on and see all of us grow up with her!!! S-She was suppose to tell us what was wrong with her so we could have helped her!!" Gray shouted as he placed his forehead on top of Stars, his tears falling on her face while his throat felt a bit tight. "S-Star.....She was suppose to live her life with me!! She was gonna smile more and I was going to make her happy again!!! I WANTED TO CONTINUE TO HOLD HER IN MY ARMS!!!" Gray yelled as he cried his heart out, causing everyone to cry at his words while Gray let out a heartbreaking sob, rocking their bodies back and forth. "I-I wanted to hold her still......and have more memories with her....I never even got to tell her....." Gray sobbed as he rubbed his head on Star's head, holding her closer to his body while he let his sobs fly out of his mouth. 'Why does everyone have to die for me?!...STAR!!' Somewhere in the middle of the debris, sat a women with dark purple long hair as she looked up at the sky with a sigh while she had a sad look on her face. 'I've lived my entire life in the shadows.....ruled by darkness. I thrived on deception, contempt, anger and death....and still I receive forgiveness and compassion.....Gray allowed me a second chance at life and Star encouraged me to take this path of light....' Ultear continued to look up at the night sky with soft eyes as memories of her past flashed in her mind while she frowned a bit at all the bad that she had done within her life as a wizard. 'I wanted to atone for my sins so I founded Crime Sorcière.......The Witches Crime.....but I will never find salvation.....at my core I'm still the same.....a witch crumbling under the weight of her own crimes....one who'd take the life of an innocent....perhaps that's because I myself don't deserve to live...'

In a huge room surrounded by books was a young Ultear as she sat at a desks with books surrounding her and notes all around her while the young girl wore a smile on her face. As Ultear took notes in her book, she did not sense another person's presence as the man walked towards her with a small smirk while a long black cape covered his body. "Uh?" Ultear turned her head to look behind her, but her eyes widen as she quickly got out of her chair and bowed to the man, also known as Master Hades while he noticed the books all around young Ultear. "Oh my, all these books. I see that you've developed a kin interest in Time Magic have you not?" Hades asked as he looked down at his pupil while Ultear looked up from her position. "Yes Master Hades, it's quite fascinating sir." Ultear said as she smiled up at Hades, still in her knelt position while she placed her forearm on her knees. "You needn't be so formal child. Please, get on your feet." Hades said with a small soft look in his eyes as he watched young Ultear stand on her feet while she gave Hades a small smile. "Master Hades, you once sparked my curiosity when you spoke of a magic that can retrieve lost happiness. Do you remember sir?" Young Ultear asked as she looked up at Hades with hopeful eyes while Hades looked down at her with a small frown. "You're referring to Arc of Time Magic?" Hades asked, tilting his head towards the child as he still had a frown on his lips while Ultear nodded her head with a smile. "Yes! I've finally been able to track down some information! This book contains some notes that I believe may teach me how to use it!!" Young Ultear said in gleam as she grabbed a brown book, holding it in front of her while Hades eyes widen a bit. "The Last Ages Spell!! I absolutely forbid it's use!!" Hades said in a stern tone as he frowned down at Ultear while Ultear frowned up at Hades. "But why!? This is exactly the spell that I was hoping to discover!! It turns back time and let's you do things over again!! This Magic....I would do whatever it takes of me to master it someday!!" Ultear argued as she frowned up at Hades while Hades frowned a bit at Ultear. "The price of mastering The Last Ages Spell is quite a heavy one indeed....It does in fact turn back time, but the caster must forfeit their time in return." Hades said seriously as he frowned down at Ultear while Ultear slowly frowned and put her book down a bit. "Their time...?" Ultear asked with wondering eyes as she looked up at Hades with a frown while Hades frowned down at the ground. "In other words, their life. Time will travel back for the world at large, but for the wizard who casts the spell.....they'll lose the rest of their remaining time." Hades explained as he looked down at the ground with a sad look while Ultear furrowed her eyebrows a bit. "Oh....I see....Thank you..."
