Chapter 38

Third Person P.O.V.

The city of Crocus was layered in thick fog as soldiers walked the streets, looking at all the debris that the dragons had caused while the sun slowly rose, lighting up Crocus a bit. The people living in the city slowly began to wake up and do their daily routine, a man exercising, a baker cooking his bread, and an old women with long grey hair getting up from her bed. The old women shakily slipped on her comfortable slippers as she stood up from her bed with her hair shadowing her eyes.....but she let a smile graze her features while she began to get dress for the day. Once the old women got dressed into a simple dress, she ate a bowl of soup for breakfast as she dipped a piece of bread in it while a waitress came up to her. "Would you like a little warm up on your coffee ma'am?" The waitress asked, smiling down at the old women as she held a pitcher in her hands while the old women smiled slightly at the lady. "As a matter of fact, I'd love one please." "We're you able to sleep through all that craziness last night?" The waitress asked as she poured some warm coffee into the old women's cup while the old women sat up a bit straight. "Ah yes. I slept as soundly as a new born baby." The old women said, closing her eyes with a smile on her face as she stirred her soup around while the young waitress smiled down at her. The old women's joke held some meaning behind it....there was something in her joke that only she would get, though she was not sadden by the situation. "So did you watch the Grand Magic Games this year?" The waitress asked as she finished pouring the women's coffee into her cup while she placed it in front of the women. "Of course dearie. I wouldn't have missed it." The old women said as she looked towards the Domus Flau with a small smile while the young waitress looked up at the Domus Flau with her mouth slightly opened. "I think this one was the best one yet! I just wish Mermaid Heel would've won though. They're my favorite!" The young waitress said as the two women continued to look at the Domus Flau with a smile on their faces while the old women smiled sadly. "Is that so? Well perhaps next year." The old women said, smiling a bit at the memories as she let out a sigh while the young waitress looked down at the old women with a huge smile on her face. "Who were you rooting for?" The waitress asked, smiling down at the old women as she continued to hold the mug in her hands while the old women looked down at her bowel of soup. "Oh I don't know, no one in particular.......but if I had to choose, I'd suppose I'd say Fairy Tail." The old women said as she smiled sadly at her bowel of soup, playing with the food while the young girl closed her eyes a bit. "Yea! I absolutely love them!! Especially that hunk Gray Fullbuster!! He's just the coolest guy!!" The young waitress said as she moved her body side to side, a pink heart floating next to her while the old women chuckle slightly. "Yes, yes he is, but isn't that young man with that other Ice Wizard. Star Mayweather I believe." The old women said, smirking a bit to herself as she watched the young waitress smile down at her while she nodded her head. "Mhm! I remember they did that wedding thing together!! They looked so cute!! I'm so jealous of her!!! But I also love her!!!" The young waitress yelled as she gave the old women a huge smile while the old women smiled sadly at her soup. "I hope those two youngsters get together soon." The old women said as she smiled lovingly down at the soup while the waitress nodded her head and told the lady that she had to go. The old women smiled down at her soup as she tried to finish her soup while memories flashed in her mind. 'I honestly hope those two will get together.....So they have each other to look after...' The old women sighed as she finished her meal, paying for it while she began to walk around the city of Crocus. The old women watched as family and friends got with each other, smiling and laughing, but she wasn't paying attention to a brick that was sticking out so her cane ended up failing her. "Uh!" The old women gasped as her body failed to catch itself while she waited for the pain to come though it never did. "Oops-a-daisy!" A man dressed in a suit with a hat said as he caught the women before she fell to the ground while the man gave the women a small smile. "My word. I must've tripped. Thank you sir." The women said, smiling at the man as she fixed her cane right while the man continued to smile at her. "Of course! These streets around here sure have seen better days. You really have to watch your step!" The man said as he lifted up his hat a bit to show the women his face while the old women gasped a bit at the man. "I know you.....you're the announcer for the Grand Magic Games! Right?" The women asked as she looked up at the said man with a look of shock while the man, or known as Chapati Lola, smiled down at the lady. "Yup! On my way to my next gig in fact!" Chapati said as he placed his hand out to the side while the old women smiled up at him. "All that traveling around. It must be rough on you." The women said as she gave Chapati a smile, wondering where he would be going while Chapati let a smirk graze his features. "I get to see the world! Meet new people!" Chapati said as he looked off to the side with a smile on his face while the old women smiled up at him. "Well, that does sound nice!" The old women said as she tilted her head to the side with a big smile while Chapati looked down at her. "Where are you headed? I could walk you there if you'd like." Chapati offered as he gave the old women a smile while the old women shook her head a bit. "Thank you, but I'm just out for a stroll. You needn't worry about me." The old women said as Chapati nodded his head while he turned his body slightly. "If you say so ma'am. Take care of yourself." Chapati said as he began to walk away from the old women while the old women smiled slightly at Chapati when he turned to look back at her. "Bye!! Haha!" As the old women watched Chapati walk away, at a small hotel roomed five wizards as they packed their things for their trip back home while the Fire Dragon Slayer stretched his body. "You guys about ready to go?" Gray Fullbuster asked as he smirked at the others, the icicle on his cross necklace shinning a bit while the other wizards smiled his way. "I'm ready to go to another royal party!!" "Yea!! I wouldn't mind being the king again!!" Happy the exceed and his partner Natsu Dragneel said as they had a small smirk on their lips while the blonde Celestial Mage sighed a bit "I wish we could stay here longer." Lucy Heartfilia said as she held a nail polish brush in her hand with a small smile on her lips while Lucy looked down at her toes. "Yes and in a strange way it's starting to feel like home." The famous Erza Scarlett said as she smiled up at her comrades while Erza paused from packing up her clothes. "I guess Master and the rest of the guild left earlier huh?" Lucy asked as smiled down a bit, but she frowned down ta her toes when a certain Ice Shadow Dragon Slayer and a Wolf came to her mind while she paused from painting her nails. 'Did they leave with the others back to Magnolia?' "He did. He said he was ready to get back to Magnolia, but I think some of them may still be celebrating." Erza said as she closed her eyes, thinking of the countless people still drinking or passed out while the others let out a small laugh. "That wouldn't surprise me all that much!" Lucy said as she smiled up at the thought of someone still drinking while Happy looked up at her. "I bet you know who is still up drinking!" "Heh!! Yup! That's a pretty safe bet." Gray laughed as he thought of a few people while Gray let a small smirk graze his features. "Ha! I know right?!" Lucy said as she gave the others a closed eye smile, but they furrowed their eyebrows a bit when they heard a few horses neigh loudly while they looked towards the window. "Hey guys!! Come look!!!" They all heard the familiar Sky Dragon Slayer shout as they all ran down the stairs only to see a nice carriage parked in front of their hotel while Wendy Marvell and her partner Carla smiled at the others. "We're gonna get to travel back to Magnolia in style!!" "And in supreme comfort I might add!!" Wendy and Carla said as they pointed towards the fancy carriage with a huge smile on their faces while the others walked forward to examine the carriage. "It's certainly a lovely carriage." Erza said as she petted the horse in front of her with a smile, but she frowned a bit when she thought of two people while she stopped petting the horse. 'I haven't heard from any of them.....Did they go back with Master?' "Yea! The Hungry Wolf Knights actually got it for us!!" Wendy said as she continued to smile at the carriage while Carla watched Happy in the air. "The men have no fashion sense so perhaps it was the ladies!" Carla said as she closed her eyes, smirking a bit at the thought of the girls getting it while a certain Dragon Slayer looked at the carriage with lines and sweat going down his face. "Ngh! No!!! Please!! Don't make me!!!" Natsu yelled as he stared at the carriage in horror, trembling slightly while Lucy stood next to Natsu. "It probably looks like a death trap to you though!" Lucy said as she smiled sadly at Natsu while Happy popped next to her with a smile on his face. "Awe you'll be fine!! Cause Wendy has that spell that can keep you from hurling!!" "Yea! I love that one!! Come on Wendy! Hook me up!!" Natsu yelled as he smiled over to Wendy, but Wendy stiffened slightly at the mention of that spell while Natsu looked a bit relieved. "I am so sorry about this...." Wendy said as her shoulders dropped slightly while Natsu stood behind her with wide eyes. "Wha....?" "The Games and the Dragons and everything is just taking it out of me. I don't know when I'm gonna have enough Magic Power to do anything again!!!" Wendy cried as she shut her eyes tightly, crying into her hands while Natsu slowly paled where he stood. "Uh no sweat......I can hack it!" Natsu said as he continued to look at Wendy in disbelief while Natsu trembled slightly. "Sure....but ya know, you can always take the ankle express." Gray said as he smirked at Natsu, watching his body tense up a bit while Natsu began to sweat even more. "Confront your fear and conquer it." Erza said sternly as she crossed her arms over her chest with a small frown while Carla walked in front of Natsu. "Instead of solving your own problem, you've just made it everybody else's." Carla scolded as she crossed her arms, causing Natsu to straighten up while the others shook their heads at Natsu. "MOTION SICKNESS I WILL DEAFEAT YOU!!!"
