"I need you in my life like limelight. Wherever I go I'm taking  you." Jack sings melodicly as he strums on his guitar. The smile on my face is huge, and uncontrollable. Nobody has ever written a song for me before, and I'm so glad Jack is the first. His voice is so clean, and beautiful, and the lyrics are possibly the sweetest things I've ever heard. "Sky's so clear when you're the view, you're the view" Jack sings, smiling happily at me. "So, what did you think? I wrote it for our EP, so we can go on tour!" Jack puts down the guitar, and I jump into his arms. "Jack.." I say, astonished. "It's the most beautiful song I've ever heard." Jack smiles, and wraps his arms around me. "Good, because it's about the most beautiful girl I've ever seen." We both giggle, and he holds me in his arms for a few minutes. It's moments like these that I wish I could live forever.

"So, guys, that's the song I wrote." Jack says, as he finishes playing Taking You. "Gee, I wonder who it's about!" Daniel says, giggling. Jack smiles, and puts his arm around me, and pulls me close. "It's only about the best girl on the planet." Jonah hits Jack jokingly. "Hey, I think Rachael is pretty great too." He says, and I nod, in agreement. "Anyway!" Zach says. "I would like to show you all the song that I have written for the album. It's called We The Party." Zach picks the guitar up from the stand in the centre of the room and starts to strum to a catchy melody.

After the boys play their songs, it's decided that everyone needs a break.  "Lets go to the mall!" Corbyn suggests. The mall seems to be Corbyn's favourite place to hang out. He and Daniel go there together all the time. "I'm down." Jack says, and I nod my head in agreement. Daniel decides to come with us. Zach explains that he can't come because he has to create more "masterpieces" for their EP, and Jonah decided to visit Rachael instead. I tell him to make sure he says hi to Rachael for me, and he agrees.

The car ride to the mall is filled with all of our voices, loudly singing along to whatever is on the radio. Each time a bad song comes on, we search for a new station to listen to. As we drive, Jack reaches his hand over and places it on my thigh. There is something so comforting about this action, I almost want to melt in the my chair. Jack has such a gentle touch, I never knew that someone could be so perfect. I look to my left to see Jack focusing on the road, his hand is still in my lap as I notice him quietly lipsynching the lyrics. He's wearing his favourite hat, a baseball cap, that tames his wild curls, until they spill out the side.

Once we get to the mall, we all walk straight into the Vans store. Jack and I both look at the skateboards. "You skate, Em?" Jack asks, looking at a little penny board. "No.. I wish I could. Skateboards are expensive though, and my parents would never buy me one." I say, as I spin the wheels on a black board with paint splattered all over it, feeling the grittiness of the grips. "Well, I'll have to teach you then!" He says smiling. "It'll be a cute date!" This idea sounds perfect to me. I grab Jack's hand and give it a little squeeze to show him that I love his idea. "Oh shoot, I gotta get this." Jack says, quickly grabbing his phone. "It's the management team, it may be about the tour!" Jack says excitedly, holding his phone in his hand. "Well answer it, silly!" I say, gently pushing on Jack's shoulder. He swipes his screen to answer the call, and mouths the words "I'm so sorry. This will be quick." To me. I honestly don't know why he's sorry, it's a business call, but he's just such an amazing person that he apologizes even when he hasn't done anything wrong. I walk over to Corbyn and Daniel who are admiring some checkered tee shirts with the Vans logo on them. "Oh man, I gotta go to the bathroom." Daniel says, putting the shirt back on the hanger. "Then go!" I say, laughing at Daniels need to announce everything he does. He sticks his tongue out at me and leaves the store.

"And then there were two." Corbyn jokes, taking an insanely colourful shirt off of a hanger. He puts the shirt up to his body, and looks in the mirror. "Well, I think I pull it off quite well. What about you?" He says, striking a pose. "You look beautiful" I say sarcastically, letting out a small giggle. "I think it would look better on you." He says, putting the shirt in my hands. "Oh no." I say. "I have a strict rule against wearing shirts with that many colours." We both laugh, And continue looking though the racks of clothing. "This is nice." Corbyn says. I look over to see what he's looking at, only to notice he's looking at me. "I'm glad we are hanging out. You're a good friend, Emily." He says, smiling quickly, and then looking back at the piles of clothes. We spend a few more minutes in the store before getting tired of the selection. We catch Jack's eye and motion to him that we are going to the next store. He gives us a thumbs up, and I blow him a kiss.

As Corbyn and I walk toward the next store, we run into Daniel who is leaving the bathroom. We all continue to shop together, and have a good time. Eventually Jack shows up with a big bag in his hand, and explains what the call was all about. "What's in the bag?" I ask curiously, trying to sneak a peak. "I guess you'll just have to find out, won't you?" I stick my tongue out at Jack, and make a funny noise. Jack laughs at my playfulness, and we all keep walking.

After a peaceful ride back to the boys' house (I fell asleep in the car.) Jack walks me up to his room, and tells me that he has a surprise for me. "A surprise?" I ask, my eyes wide. "Yep. After I finished talking to our manager, I made a little purchase." He pulls out the giant bag he was holding at the mall, and places it in front of me. "Go ahead, open it." He says, nodding toward the bag.

I open it, and sitting inside the bag is the paint splattered skateboard I was looking at. Instantly, I jump up and wrap my arms around Jack's neck. "Oh Jack! I love it!!" He smiles proudly. "I was going to get one for my little sister anyway, so I thought I might as well get my lovely girlfriend one too." A giant smile spreads across my face. "Oh! You didn't have to do that!" I say, hugging him tightly. "I know.. but he wanted to." He says, running his hang though his curls. He puts one hand on the back of my neck, and the other on my hip, and pulls me toward him. I feel the butterflies rush through my body. Before I know it, his soft, lips are on mine, and he is kissing me gently. Until this moment, I have never felt so loved by someone. I've never felt so wanted.. so needed. I've never felt so perfect.
