As I walked to my last class of the day, I was still thinking about that curly haired boy. I hadn't see him, or any of his friends since the beginning of the day, when I was with Rachael. I honestly wasn't sure why, but I found myself wishing I got the chance to see him again... Even if it was just once. I slid onto my seat which was located in the back corner of the room. I liked to sit there because I had the whole back row to myself. Not only was I free to be invisible from all the other students; but the teacher barely notices me either. I slip in my earbuds and turn the volume up loud enough to drown out the voices of the other students. I put my head on my desk, and close my eyes; hoping to sleep though whatever boring lesson was going to be taught today. (Normally, I wouldn't sleep in class, but I'm already so far ahead that I've finished our current project. For some reason, I'm just really good at English, and photography. I take grade 12 English and grade 12 photography even though I'm technically only in grade 11.)

Shortly after putting my head down, I feel a hand on my shoulder; gently, yet firmly shaking me. The shaking is followed by a voice, which is being drowned out by my music. I figure it's my teacher, Mr. Parks waking me up to yell at me for not paying attention. When I look up however, it's not Mr. Parks that I see, but instead a blonde boy wearing glasses. I recognize him as one of the boys that Racheal was swooning over earlier today. I take my earbuds out, and look up at him, waiting for him to speak again. He's significantly more attractive up close. I feel myself gulp.

"Hey, I'm Corbyn." He says with a smile, revealing his perfect white teeth. "Is anybody sitting here?" He asks, gesturing to the seat right beside me. Instead of replying, I look around the class to see a bunch of empty seats. Before I could say anything, he was talking again.

"There's 4 seats here, it's the only row that has enough room for my friends and I to all sit together." I gave him a shy smile.

"No, this is my row. It's all for me." I said, with a serious face. Corbyn's face changed from a full smile to an awkward, halfhearted smile. "Oh.. okay. I'm sorry.." He said slowly, and began to turn around. Before he could walk away, I reached for his arm; regretting ever trying to make a joke. "I'm just kidding. Of course you can sit here." I laughed as I watch the giant goofy smile return to his face. He pulled out the chair beside me and sat down.

Within a few minutes, I saw who I recognized to be Daniel walking into the class. He was laughing, clearly talking to somebody. I stared at the door, waiting to see if he was talking to the curly haired boy from earlier.

As I stared, waiting, the curly hair boy walked into the class, a small smile on his face. He let out a small giggle. His laugh wasn't big like Daniel's, it was more shy, yet somehow so full of happiness. I continued to stare, when our eyes met each other. I quickly looked away, and felt a blush creep up my already rosy cheeks. I pulled my hair in front of my face, and looked away, pretending I wasn't staring at him; even though he must have known I was.

"Guys!" Corbyn said excitedly, while simultaneously texting furiously on his phone. "Come over here, I saved some seats." He continued to text, not looking up once. "And whose this?" Said Daniel, smiling. I noticed a slight gap between his teeth. He had a kind face. I felt like we could be good friends if we got to know each other, but of course I'd never tell him that. "Oh, this is my new friend!" Corbyn said, finally looking up from his phone. "I don't actually think I caught your name though.. what was it again?" He asked, trying to be nice about the awkward situation.

"Emily." I paused "My name is Emily."

"Well!" Continued Corbyn excitedly. "This is Daniel, and that's Jack." He said, pointing first at Daniel, then at the curly haired boy. I looked over, and Daniel was smiling at me. Jack (I guess that's his name) gave me a quick nod, with a shy smile, and then dug into his backpack. After awhile he closed his backpack, and took out a small book, and began to write in it.

By the end of class, I was laughing along with Daniel and Corbyn. They were basically the first guys to be nice to me in all 3 years of high school so far. "Hey, Emily. So listen.." started Corbyn. "You can probably tell we're new to this school, and we've met a few people, but you honestly seem like the only chill person here." I laughed a bit, knowing that I definitely am not the most "chill" person in the school.

I secretly hoped that they wouldn't meet the other.. cooler people, because I was sure that once they did, they would leave me. "Well that's one way to put it." I laughed again. "Anyway, we were just wondering if you wanted to come over to our place after school ends." Corbyn asked. On the inside, I was freaking out, but I had to contain myself. I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face. "Uh, yeah sure, that would be great.. but what do you mean by our house though? Do you guys live together?" I asked, laughing, assuming he meant his house.

"Well, yeah, we kinda do." Daniel answered. "Technically, it's our friend Jonah's place, but we all live there. You'll meet him tonight." I laughed again, feeling at ease. "Wow. A house full of boys." Daniel smiled back at my comment. "Yup. It's a total mess. Get ready." I smiled, and packed up my stuff, getting ready to leave class. "I think I'll be fine. Thanks Daniel." We both laughed; Corbyn joining in the laughter.
