Chapter 16

Today is the day that Chronicles will be recording Blue's song.

"Zabrina, nasa labas si Chad. He's picking you up."

"What? Kakatext lang niya sakin. Hindi naman niya binanggit na susunduin niya ako." Dahil diyan, nagmamadali tuloy ako mag ayos at magbihis.

"Please tell him I'll be there in 10 minutes, Ma."

"Okay."

After 10 minutes, in fairness, nakatapos ako magayos ng sarili ko. "Hey Chad, what were you thinking? You did not mention you'll come and pick me up. Kaya pala tinatanong mo if nasa bahay pa ako."

"Hahaha, I thought I should pick you up, for a change. You hate bringing your own car, so I can be your chauffeur for the day."

"Thanks. By the way, bakit pala wala ka kahapon? Sabi ni Clyde you have some personal matters to attend."

Hindi sumagot si Chad, and napansin ko medyo lumamlam ang mata niya.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to be nosy. You don't need to answer."

And hindi na nga sumagot si Chad. All through out our trip to the office, di siya nagsalita. The silence is too awkward. Sana pala di ko nalang inopen yung topic na yun.

"Hi Breen!" Bungad ni Brent sakin. I felt relieved ng makita ko si Brent. Feeling ko kasi, kaya niyang tanggalin ung awkwardness kanina. He's such a bright and happy person.

The mood changed. Tumatawa na si Chad and nakikipagbiruan na.

"Hi Breen, have some coffee."

"Thanks Chad." Pagkuha ko ng coffee, I look for a seat away from Chad. And nakaupo ako sa tabi Drake. Umiiwas muna ako mapunta within Chad's parameter. Nahihiya pa din ako sa nangyari kanina.

"Hi Breen, I have a photo shoot tomorrow. Samahan mo ako. Nang may iupdate ka naman sa Instagram site naming."

Oo nga pala. Kailan nga ba yung huling update ko ng official Instagram ng Chronicles. "Sure, samahan kita tomorrow. I think okay lang naman wala ako sa recording tomorrow."

Di sinasadya napatingin ako sa side ni Chad, and napansin kong nakatingin siya sakin. Narinig niya siguro yung usapan naming ni Drake.

Nagstart na ang recording. Unang nagrecord si Keiffer. I am swoon by his voice. I know I always heard his voice. Pero sa tingin ko, yung song mismo, pinapalabas ung emotion sa boses ni Keiffer.

Then si Drake. His voice is so cold but sad. Bagay din sa song. I always thought he's just a visual. Though I know he can sing. But now, he's more than that.

Si Brent. Ang pinakabata. I didn't expect him to be able to bring out the emotion of the song. I'm sure he has not yet experienced break-up. Unlike someone I know.

Clyde, who has a very sexy voice. Lalo na dun sa part na mababa yung tono. And baba na boses niya, feeling ko, kinakantahan ako ng lullabye. I wish he will always this kind of voice and tone.

All through out the recording, tahimik ako. I was mesmerized by what I am hearing so far. And I can feel Chad looking at me from time to time.

Now, it's Blue's part. Naalala ko ng pinakinggan ko yung clip na pinadala ni Brent. Honestly, sa part ni Blue, dun ako masyadong na-touch. And siguro naman, dahil narinig ko na yung song, I won't be crying again.

Blue started singing his part.

Time used to follow us but now it has stopped

Instead of an "us" it's just "you" and "me"

Yeah I know it's all my fault but

And that's it. Biglang tumulo luha ko. Feeling ko, damang dama ko yung sinasabi ng kanta. Okay Blue, you did it again. Kinuha ko bag ko para kumuha ng panyo. Pero nauna si Chad. He gave me his handkerchief. Naghesitate ako pero I need to wipe my tears fast. Baka makita pa ng ibang members.

"Naramdaman mo ba?" Tanong ni Chad.

Napatingin ako sa kanya. "Ang alin?"

"Yung emotion ni Blue? It was real. The feeling was real."

"Was?"

"Yes. During the time Blue wrote this song, those were the time nagkakalabuan sila ni Bea. I know dahil ako tumulong sa kanya lagyan ng music yung song. And you know why he never shared this song to the member?"

I never asked him, pero siya na mismo nagkukwento.

"Because it was too painful for him to sing this. And seeing him now sing this song, I'm sure he has moved on."

"You know it's painful for him to sing this, pero bakit sinubmit mo pa din sa boss natin?"

"Knowing Blue, if he can't do something, you can never force him to do something. Kung hindi pa niya to kayang kantahin in front of anyone, except me, he will automatically say no. But he didn't. The song was perfect, and I don't want it to put to waste. Look how it affected you."

"You're right. Kaya lang baka naman naaapektuhan ako dahil alam ko yung about sa kanila ni Bea. And I'm really sad for him."

"I hope that's it." Then he looked at me. While I was wondering what he meant.

The recording was done. Isang buong araw na naman kami sa loob ng studio. Pumasok kami ng studio ng 8 a.m., and we went our around 1 a.m. in the morning.

"Breen, are you okay?" Tanong ni Clyde.

"Ha, oo naman. Bakit mo natanong?"

"I don't know, ang tahimik mo kasi ever since we started the recording. Hindi ka masyadong nagsalita."

"Ah, hindi ko napansin yun. Baka epekto pa din ng pagkakasakit ko ng isang araw."

"Are you sure Breen? Wag ka na kaya sumama sakin s photo shoot."

"Ah, it's okay Drake. I'll come with you."

"Hatid na kita Breen?" Tanong ni Chad.

"Teka, pano kami?" Tanong ni Blue.

"Hey, the van is there. Pahatid nalang kayo sa van."

"It's okay Chad. My dad called. Susunduin daw niya ako. Late na kasi ako nakauwi ng isang araw and he promised to pick me up."

"Oh, really?" Sagot ni Chad. Actually, ako tumawag sa dad ko para magpasundo. I'm just not in the mood right now to talk to Chad, let along be with him inside a car. Medyo fresh pa din nangyari sa kotse kaninang umaga.

Napalingon ako kay Blue, and I saw him smirk. Naku, if only I was in the mood, nabatukan ko ang mokong na to.

I went home feeling gloomy and sad. Not sure if effect ito ng song ni Blue, ni Chad or ng dahil pagod lang ako.

When I was putting back my jewelries on my box, nakita ko ulit yung locket na napulot ko sa Korea. Sino kaya si Tamara. Bigla kong naalala, si Chad, nakasabay naming siya sa airplane, kasi nagpaiwan siya sa Korea. And if I remember it right, nagpaiwan siya kasi may personal matter siyang need ayusin sa Korea. Hmm, ano naman kaya yun?
