31: Deep Thoughts

“Come to me.. if you hear me now.”

Why? Why so sudden? In just a blink of an eye, in just a snap of my finger, without a hint I started to hear his voice. No. I am not complaining about it.. I am just confused.

Rusell once told me that if I start hearing a man's voice that just means i'm falling to that person. And what's more funny is that, instead of partying because finally i get to hear Yildeen's insights, I end up getting confused and as if I didn't like what's going on right now.

I looked at Bria who's giving me death glares and telling me to go inside. Did Bria hear that? Was it just me? Impossible.. Bria could have heard it. She's inlove with Yildeen and I'm sure of that! Me? I don't know. I'm just doing my job here. So that i can go back to where I belong.

I never thought i'd fall for him. Not until now.

My left foot stepped backward as Yildeen started walking and stopped infront of me. “You heard that?”

“W-what.. do you mean?”

Hindi 'ko rin alam. I seriously don't know why I said that! Rusell adviced me to not be so hard to get! To not push him away specially now that he's the one pulling himself to me! But why do I all of a sudden become in denial to him?! What was I thinking?

Nanginginig ang tuhod 'ko kaya pagkapasok 'ko ng unit ay dali dali 'kong inabot ang sofa at naupo. Nangangatal rin ako sa sobrang gulat dahil sa mga salitang binitawan kanina ni Yildeen. What does he mean that I can no longer backstab him? I am not backstabbing him, fyi!

Since Rusell is the only person I can ask for a help, I immidiately dialed his number. After three rings, he answered. “Sup?”

“I-I.. I heard Yildeen's voice! Just.. Just a couple of minutes ago! A-and he told me -- ”

“Woah, woah, calm down, Mel! Calm down. It's just the voice. And.. didn't I tell you what does that mean? That you're -- ”

“Oh no, don't you dare say that!” Bumuntong hininga ako. “L-look.. what I am actually confused is that.. he told me that.. I can no longer stab him which makes me so confused! What does he mean by that? I am not backstabbing him. Am I?” i leaned on the couch as I stretched my legs on the table.

I heard him sighing. “Nakikinig ka ba sa mga tinuturo 'ko sa'yo? Tsk.” i bit my lower lip at hinintay ang susunod niyang sasabihin (kung meron man) pero sa tingin 'ko ay wala na. Just when I was about to speak, he already did.
