The Next Day

I know what you're thinking we had a romantic night full of chemistry and passion then Danny bought me breakfast in the morning and became my boyfriend. No worries ladies and gentlemen he didn't propose, I actually woke up in his bed with him gone. Not even a note or text but then again I should of expected less. The night we spent together had to been the best night of my life and nobody's ever made me feel the way he has.

After the night we spent together Danny's been a little distant, we acted as if nothing happened and went back to our normal roommate routine. Even though we hooked up he's still been very genuine and caring as a friend around the house just very quiet and distant. I finally got back to work and feel way better than before, I'm just hoping Danny and I didn't do something that could potentially not end well between us being friends or roommates. The last thing I need is to be on Danny Leyman's bad side I'm just getting use to him being kind.

"Sooo you're acting all happy today" Sarah raises a brow walking past me handing a customer a drink. "Have a nice day" She smiled nudging my side with her elbow lightly. "I am not I'm just happy to be back" I laugh a little wiping down a counter restocking product. "Besides there's nothing ever new about my life" I roll my eyes exhaling.

"So how are you and Danny?" She asked as I glared at her for a second opening my mouth I begin blinking a few times as I snap out of it I answer carelessly shrugging. "We're fine" I make a confused face licking my lips nervously. "What was that all about?" She folds her arms staring at me laughing.
"Nothing I just randomly got a headache" I scoffed under my breath as Sarah nods taking a customer as I walk to the drink station making a ice water.

I know Sarah's my best friend and we keep nothing from each other but right now just wasn't the place or time to tell her what happened between me and Danny. Especially after I promised to keep it between us two I kind of wanted to keep that promise. I didn't want to ruin anything between me and Danny when things are going just how I want them, I know it sounds a little selfish but I like where I am right now.

"If another customer tells me how to do my job I'm asking them to put in a application" Sarah sighed walking to the back as I sip some water trying not to laugh glancing at our store front shaking my head. As I turn around to check the Latte machine I hear chime slowly looking over my shoulder seeing Danny walk in. My heart starts to race as I run my fingers through my hair putting my hands on the counter.

"How may I help you?" I laugh a little tilting my head. "Cute" He mumbled nodding up once walking over to the front counter. "I can be" I raise a brow shrugging. "Sometimes" He mumbled shutting one eye looking up at the menu being sarcastic as I drop my mouth slapping his arm gently. "Chill it was a joke" He scoffed under his breath staring directly into my eyes.

"What?" I gulp staring back as he exhales deeply. "What time are you off?" He raises his eyebrows.
"Im closing I'm practically here all day" I put my hand on my hip sighing as he began rubbing his lips together. "Nice" He said putting his hands in his pockets looking back at the menu then down at his phone.

"Hey Danny" Sarah smiled walking out from the back. "Want your drink?" She looks at me then Danny as his vision is locked on me.
"Sure" He mumbled looking back down at his phone as I blush a little looking down messing with my fingers as Sarah makes him his drink. I bite my lip looking down playing with my necklace then look over my shoulder watching Sarah make Danny a Carmel Frappuccino.

"Oh Jake asked if you wanted to come over for a little tonight" Sarah raised a brow at me looking over her shoulder. "For what?"Danny buts in narrowing his eyes at Sarah as I notice a bit of jealously in his face. I slowly run my fingers through my hair looking at Sarah as I rub my hand up and down my arm pressing my lips together.
