"Don't get yourself into something you can't finish" He mumbled lighting a cigarette as I studied the tattoo on his hand. "Room mate" He scoffed bumping past me as I realized his presence was like a drug and I was addicted.
I still was trying to get over the fact that Danny and Jake weren't getting along especially after the incident at the gym. I never wanted to break their friendship or come between the two. Danny's been ignoring me being distant and it has me a little worried he's interested in someone else. I loved him so much it was eating me up inside even fathoming seeing him with another girl but I wanted to respect his space and give us time.
"Today has been dragging" I sighed as I finished bussing one of my tables wiping it down. "Is Jake picking you up?" My coworker Tiffany asked as I nodded a little being Jake and I have been spending more time together like we use to. I enjoyed serving I didn't miss the cafe much at all. "Can you cash me out?" I exhaled deeply counting my tips putting them away as Tiffany asked me to cash out her last two tables. "Sure" I said as I began clicking the computer screen tilting my head a little. My phone then vibrated as I took it out my back pocket swiping my thumb across the screen.
Via text Jake "Outside"
I smiled small putting my phone back in my back pocket as I finished cashing out I clocked out. "I'll see you tomorrow" I yelled to Tiffany pacing to the back I was so over today and ready to leave, I pushed my bangs out my face grabbing my purse and jacket. I took a deep breath as I exited out the back seeing Jakes car I began jogging to it getting in the passenger seat. "Hey" I smiled putting my seatbelt over my shoulder buckling up. "How was work?" Jake asked while looking over his shoulder reversing. "Made one eighty" I mumbled as I licked my lips pulling the mirror down as I looked at my face.
"I'm so exhausted" I exhaled putting the mirror up and sitting back placing my feet on the dashboard. Jake then touched my ankle swiping my feet down as I laughed a little rolling my eyes. "Whatever" I said crossing my arms looking out the window. "Wanna spend the night?" Jake asked raising a brow looking at me then the road as I debated for a second moving my lips to the side. "Mmmmm sure" I shrugged pushing my hair back leaving my hand on my head.
I then took a look down at my phone as I sighed not seeing any replies from Danny, I could feel my heart breaking slowly as I gulped clicking his Snapchat story watching it biting my lip. I turned the volume up a little as I seen him laughing having a good time with his female friends. Danny was singing obnoxiously loud in the car as everyone was cracking up. I began laughing a little shaking my head as I clicked or his story checking all his social media I was going insane slowly. I truly missed his sense of humor and laugh, no one made me laugh the way he did Danny's personality was unique.
"What?" Jake asked looking over at me at a red light. "Nothing" I whispered clicking one of Danny's pictures it made me miss him more as I sighed. I immediately felt jealously I scrolled through all the likes and comments, I then began making a disgusted face as I read a flirtatious comment between Danny and one of his female friends.
