This summer by far has been the best I'm not ready for it to be over, I wish we could stop time just for a little while. Sarah's going to be leaving off to college soon and I'm going to miss her so much.
The past month has been great between me and Danny despite us hooking up, Keeping things between us I've really started to fall for him. I decided to get on birth control if we were going to keep messing around. Although Jake still doesn't know we've been able to keep it a good secret.
Jake and I still remain really good friends although his feelings for me still are open, Danny on the other hand avoids any confrontation about a relationship. Today is the 4th of July and everyone decided to spend the day at our city's amusement park since I have off for the holiday I decided I would join and ditch my family's bbq.
"So when's Danny gonna eventually properly introduce hisself?" My brother asked me crossing his arms following me walk to my car. "I mean it's not that important he's just my roommate" I look over my shoulder raising my eyebrows walking to my car opening the door as I stand looking at him.
"Okay that's besides the point that he's still a guy a guy living with you" He grabs my door not allowing me to shut it becoming eye level with me leaning over as I slowly sit down into my car.
"Fine" I exhale slowly "I'll think of something alright" I roll my eyes sarcastically looking at him smiling small. "Yeah Happy 4th be safe I love you" He mumbled shaking his head walking back up the driveway to the party. I begin to tilt my head against the window watching him walk away for a second as I take a deep breath sighing.
I still didn't introduce Danny to my family yet with what we secretly have going on the last thing I want to do is push him away, Or pressure him to think I'm trying to make him my boyfriend by meeting my family we were just having fun. Despite meeting his already I feel like he has bigger family issues than me that mine can wait. I would feel selfish to bring anything else upon him besides I didn't think of it being that big of a deal right now.
After a few minutes pass I pull up to the Amusement Park going to meet everyone, I was a little late being I tried to be fair and spend the holiday with my family too. Looking for a spot to park I look around at people passing by celebrating the holiday looking happy as I smile small being patient then soon pull into a spot.
As soon as I park I grab my phone, keys and purse pulling it over my shoulder. I get out shutting the door behind me locking my car as I begin walking through the parking lot to the opening gate. Looking around I look down at my phone texting Sarah where I should meet everyone. Waiting for a reply I keep walking enjoying people celebrate the holiday on the rides looking up at them.
"Kate over here!" I look over my shoulder seeing Sarah, Cameron and Jake all in a line for a roller coaster. I wave pacing over in the back of my mind wondering where Danny is? I slowly come to a stop at the line. "Hey" I smile small. "What's up?" Jake smiles small. "Happy 4th" He says as he glances at me head to toe I look down pushing a stand of hair behind my ear "Yeah you too" I smile innocently.
"Are you riding?" Cameron asks as I look around. "Um yeah I just have to get a wrist band" I scratch my head. "I'll pay come on" Jake says while jumping out of line. "Let's go" He says as I slowly soon begin to raise my eyebrows. "Jake you just waited in line?" I make a confused face feeling bad. "I can pay for myself really" I rub up my arm implying.
"Oh he'll live" Sarah smiles tilting her head back onto Cameron's chest. "Yeah we'll just ride this then catch up with you guys later" Cameron suggests raising his eyebrows shrugging. "Sounds good to me" Jake nods looking at me. "Thanks" I take a deep breath slowly turning away to walk as I rubbed up my arm feeling a little guilty.
"Kate it's a ride a ramma not a house" Jake laughs a little saying sarcastically walking aside me.
"Well you should be careful there's people out there who will take your kindness for weakness" I glance at him then straight walking to the ticket booth crossing my arms. "Besides im not the type of girl who's into the whole use a guy for his money kind of thing" I smile small rolling my eyes.
