"Babe I really cannot walk another mile" I exhaled placing my hands on my hips out of breath. "Where's your water?" Danny asked. "I'm all out I drank it like fifteen minutes ago" I gulped licking my lips tightening my ponytail. "Here" Danny said as I looked down at his water. "No babe that's yours" I blocked the sun with my hand as Danny rolled his eyes untwisting the cap. "What's mine is yours" He mumbled shutting on eye in the sun as I smiled small taking it. "Thanks" I said chugging some.
"No problem" He said smiling as he walked past slapping my ass.

I wanted to explore the mountains of California as I began regretting my suggestion of taking a hike in ninety degree weather. This was nothing similar to back home where it's nothing but the coldest winters around. I could totally get use to not having to spend money on a new tanning package every two weeks and soak up all this sun.

"You're the one who said you wanted to go on a hike" Danny scoffed tossing his shirt over his shoulder walking ahead of me. "Okay were all not star athletes" I said as Danny laughed shaking his head walking perfectly fine. I on the other hand haven't worked out a day in my entire life or participated in any sport.

"Want me carry you?" Danny stopped turning around as I laughed continuing to walk ahead of him. "We're almost at the top" He mumbled following behind me as I took a deep breath continuing to walk. "You can maybe carry me back down" I said looking over my shoulder at Danny mouthing words listening to his headphones as I rolled my eyes.

He playfully swiped his hand quickly across my cheek from behind. "Stop" I laughed waving him off not turning around as I folded my arms he did it again. I grabbed his hand turning around as he laughed licking his lips I glanced at his dimples.
As I went to push him he stepped back instantly flexing as I laughed shaking my head, I turned around continuing to finish my way up the hill.

A few miles later

"We should of totally packed like a lunch or something" I laughed sitting down on a rock as Danny looked at the sunset. "I have some chips in my bag" He mumbled standing up sliding the straps of his back pack off as he unzipped it opening it.

"Here" He exhaled opening a bag of Sunflower chips as he handed them to me slowly. "Aren't you hungry too?" I asked slowly eating a chip scooting closer to him. "I'll eat later you eat them" He mumbled squinting his eyes at he sunset as he rubbed up his arm to his shoulder.

I took a deep breath tilting my head looking at the sunset as Danny looked down over the cliff. "Stop it" I mumbled chewing covering my mouth with my hand. "You're going to scare yourself babe" I laughed out as he scoffed stepping back placing his hands in his pockets. "What if I fell down there?" I asked sarcastically looking up at him as he raised his eyebrows blinking a few times.

"I'd throw you a awesome funeral" He mumbled as I gasped slapping his leg he laughed stepping away.
"I'm joking" He mumbled. "You would never get that close to falling" He said as I smiled chewing shaking my head. "What if I accidentally did?" I laughed out.
"I'd never allow anything to happen to you" He mumbled slowly walking away.

"What are you doing?" I scoffed smiling watching him lean over picking a flower as he walked back picking grass off of it. "Come here" He whispered under his breath. He crouched down as I raised my eyebrows he moved my hair over my shoulder.
I placed my hand on his shoe smiling looking down. I tilted my head a little allowing him to place it in my hair behind my ear. "There" He said looking at me as I smiled looking into his eyes.

"Wait" He said getting up taking a few steps back as he pulled out his phone to take a picture of me. "Don't move" He mumbled as I laughed a little slowly putting a chip into my mouth. "Really" He said as I laughed rushing to chew covering my mouth with my hand. I soon began posing as Danny scoffed smiling I tried not to laugh as I smiled looking at his phone.
