"Don't get yourself into something you can't finish" He mumbled lighting a cigarette as I studied the tattoo on his hand. "Room mate" He scoffed bumping past me as I realized his presence was like a drug and I was addicted.
It's been several weeks and time was flying as I was now three full months pregnant. Danny and I have been closer than ever and I haven't had much morning sickness or cramping. I surprisingly been having a easy healthy pregnancy by far. Today the DNA results came in to determine whether Danny was the father or Mason.
I took a deep breath as I held onto the envelope that had the results in it as I bit my lip nervously. Sarah has been very supportive and came out from school to be by side today with my mom and Danny's mom. "Regardless this baby is loved you have people who love and care and will support you" Sarah whispered under her breath as I looked at Danny who looked a bit blank then over at Mason who looked anxious.
"We're all here for you" My mom said as I looked at Danny's mom who smiled at me agreeing as she nodded her head. Danny looked a bit spaced out as his stood with his hands in his pockets glaring at the floor. "Let's just get this done and over with" Danny exhaled rubbing his hands together nervously stepping side to side. He wouldn't even stand still I could see the anxiety in his face as he looked overwhelmed.
I gulped tracing my tip of my finger back and forth across the envelope slowly as I began opening it. I glanced up at Danny who had his hands pressed together in a prayer gesture to his mouth glaring at me. I felt like I had my future and life within my hands as my heart began racing a hundred miles a hour. I never felt more afraid as I began over reading the introduction of the letter. I took a deep breath as my hands were practically shaking I continued reading.
As I opened my mouth a little in shock raising my eyebrows I began blinking. "What? What's it say?" Sarah asked anxiously pacing over taking the envelope out my hands as I froze looking at Danny. He never looked more worried in his entire life as he clenched down on his jaw beginning to breath a bit heavy.
"What did it say?" Danny asked as Mason looked at me too.
"Daniel Leyman one hundred percent" Sarah gasped reading out loud. "Mason was zero percent" She mumbled raising her eyebrows as I covered my mouth with my hands feeling emotional.
Danny instantly exhaled leaning over bowing his head squeezing his eyes shut as he placed his hands on his knees he began crying. I wasn't sure if he was scared or if he was crying tears of joy. "Danny the baby is yours!" Sarah said out loud smiling in excitement as Danny's mom hugged him tight. I never felt more relieved and happy in my entire life as Mason nodded clapping stepping aside.
I hugged Sarah in excitement as I laughed a little smiling I sniffled closing my eyes as my mom joined the hug. "You're gonna be such a great mom" My mom whispered kissing my head as I pulled away from them both looking at Danny.
He had the biggest smile on his face as he took a deep breath rubbing his hands down his face. His dimples were about to burst out his cheeks as he wiped his eyes with his arm. "Congratulations" Mason said holding his hand out to Danny as Danny nodded shaking it. "Thank you" He said as Mason nodded letting go. "Take care" He said to everyone as I smiled small nodding he walked out of the house.
"Yes yes yes yes" Danny began chanting to hisself as he tightened his fists. I laughed a little watching him as he placed his hands on his head pacing back and forth relieved. "Someone's happy" I said as he walked up to me placing his hands up to my face kissing me as I clenched onto his wrists kissing him back.
"Awe" Sarah said as Danny began kissing me all over I laughed a little turning my face side to side slowly. "I" He pecked my lips. "Love" He pecked them again. "You" He pecked them another time. "So fucking much" He pecked them one last time as I held back my laugh smiling between all the kisses.
"I love you too" I whispered hugging onto him as he wrapped his arms around my neck hugging me tightly not letting me go. He closed his eyes resting the side of his cheek against the top of my head as he rocked back and forth slowly I rubbed my hand down his back lightly.
He placed his chin on my head kissing it as he pulled away, He picked me up wrapping his arms around me as he spinned once with me in his arms. "I fucking knew it" He exhaled setting me down as I laughed sliding my hand down his arms.
"I knew it" He repeated whispering under his breath smiling as he leaned over kissing my stomach. He got on his knees closing his eyes as he placed his forehead to my stomach. "Babe" I laughed a little looking at everyone watching smiling as I rubbed his curls back slowly. "I promise to never let you down" He mumbled into my stomach as he buried his face into it.
I smiled small listening as I never felt happier to finally say Danny was the father of my child. We could finally put all the bullshit behind us that we been through and start our family and focus on the future. Who knew you could fall deeply in love with the bad boy of the town?
