"Did you hand make this?" Danny scoffed placing his fingertips on the gender reveal box Sarah and my mom made touching some ribbons. "We did" My mom laughed out rubbing her hands together nervously as I smiled small looking at some of the decorations they designed on the box. "I'm nervous" I exhaled laughing a little running my fingers through my hair. "You? Dude look I'm legit shaking" Danny mumbled raising his eyebrows as he held his hands out to show me, I laughed a little taking him pulling him close.
"I hope it's a girl" Sarah said anxiously rubbing her hands together as I took a deep breath looking into Danny's eyes as he rubbed his hands together nervously. "Are you ready?" I asked biting my lip smiling as he held his hands up to his lips pressed together in a prayer gesture closing his eyes. "Im so nervous" He shivered his shoulders smiling big as he stepped back glaring at me I looked around at everyone else smiling as I laughed a little. "Come on open the box" Cameron yelled as Danny clenched down in his jaw taking a deep breath. We instantly held a intense eye contact as I smiled small he smiled back at me giving me a little nod to open the box.
I took a deep breath blinking a few times staring at him. "I want a boy so badly" He whispered against his hands looking at me as I smiled small kneeling down to open the box slowly. "Well see" I exhaled undoing all the ribbon as I stood up slowly beginning to open the box.
"Oh my gosh" Sarah gasped in excitement as I stepped back with Danny while blue balloons floated up from inside the box. I gasped in shock placing my hands up to my mouth as my heart dropped. I looked over at Danny who instantly turned away coving his eyes with his forearm as everyone began cheering in excitement. "It's a boy! We're having a boy!" I said sniffling as I wiped underneath my eye with the biggest smile on my face. This was one of the most beautiful moments of my life I never felt more fulfilled with happiness.
"Is he crying oh my gosh?!" Sarah gasped hugging me as we both looked over at Danny who was hugging all his friends and family. He wiped his face with his shirt as he leaned over placing his hands on his knees closing his eyes bowing his head. I knew how bad Danny wanted a son and how much our son is going to mean to him. "Babe" I said pushing a strand of hair behind my ear walking over placing my hand on his back. "Are you alright?" I asked laughing a little as he sniffled nodding.
He turned around wrapping his arms around my neck hugging me close as I closed my eyes smiling.
As everyone began to cheer I felt as the whole backyard was at a echo and it was just Danny and I no one else. As he rocked side to side holding me hugging me tightly I admired the moment. "I love you so much" He mumbled placing his mouth against my cheek. "I love you too" I exhaled rubbing up and down his back slowly pulling away.
"Congrats bro" Cameron said dapping Danny up who had the biggest smile on his face as he rubbed his hands down it. "You're gonna be a amazing dad" Cameron said as Danny wiped underneath his eyes with his knuckle nodding. I smiled watching as I felt a minor cramp I rubbed down Danny arm as he was talking to Cameron. "You alright?" He looked over his shoulder asking as I nodded sliding my fingertips past his he watched me walk away. I began walking slowly over to sit down as I took a deep breath placing my hand under my stomach.
I began fanning myself off with my hand as I seen my mom carrying out the cake and everyone associating. As I looked at Danny he looked happier than ever as he caught me looking and gave me a soft small smile. "I love you" He mouthed as I laughed a little watching him try to keep eye contact with his dad as he looked back and forth at me.
Later on
"What kind of cake is this?" Danny raised his eyebrows chewing as he sucked frosting off his thumb. "Almond" Sarah said as I took a bite looking at Danny. "Babe you have something right there" I said licking my lips as I stepped towards him smashing the cake into his face.
As everyone gasped with laughter I began cracking up as Danny's mouth dropped.
He licked his lips putting his fingertip to his eye as he rubbed it slowly with the cake all over his face. Unexpectedly Danny walked over placing his hands up to the sides of my face as he smeared the cake on his face onto mine. As I laughed turning my head side to side holding onto his wrists I dropped my mouth as he stepped back licking his fingers smirking.
"Asshole!" I said wiping underneath my eye as he scoffed walking back up to me placing his hands back up to the sides of my face kissing the excess frosting off. "And this is why you're pregnant" Sarah laughed as I laughed letting him holding onto his wrists. "There" He said stepping back swiping some frosting off the side of my chin with his thumb licking it. As he licked his lips he wiped his face off with a napkin then fingers.
"Not funny" I scoffed.
"Dude you did it first" Danny scoffed back grabbing another a napkin walking up to me as he lifted my chin wiping my face off gently.
As I heard my dad begin to play some music I was lost in Danny's eyes as I tilted my head back letting him wipe my face off. "What?" He whispered as I smiled small. "Nothing" I whispered back as he glanced from my lips up to my eyes. "Wanna dance?" He asked raising his eyebrows rubbing down and down my arms gently as I nodded smiling. "If we can" I scoffed placing my hand on my stomach. "He'll be alright" Danny scoffed pulling me along.
As everyone watched Danny pull me under the gazebo to the concrete pavement my heart began pounding as I took a deep breath. Danny looked at me head to toe smiling as he pulled me close to him slowly. I smiled placing my hands on his shoulders as we began slow dancing Danny looked down at my stomach then up at me. "I like Cayden" He mumbled raising a brow as I tilted my head listening. "How about Noah?" I shut one eye as he rolled his I laughed as he scoffed spinning me around slowly.
"Well think about it" He mumbled as I nodded.
"I still can't believe I'm gonna have a son" He raised his eyebrows blinking as we stepped side to side slowly I ran my fingers through the back of the curls on his head. "I wanna be with you for the long run" He said as I began listening. "I wanna potentially have more" He paused gulping. "I wanna watch our kids grow and I wanna spend the rest of my life with you" He said as I blinked a few times listening as my heart began pounding.
"I don't wanna ever fail at being a dad or boyfriend or potentially down the road husband" He said as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "You are my life now both of you" He mumbled as I leaned in to kiss him closing my eyes we kissed passionately.
End of the party
"Just hurry up and take the picture bro" Danny said standing behind me with his hands over mine on my stomach as I laughed a little seeing Cameron struggle with the camera. "Alright alright" Cameron said as Danny scoffed placing his chin on my shoulder as we took a picture posing.
This is the man I'm going to marry and spend the rest of my life with....I just know it.
