"Don't get yourself into something you can't finish" He mumbled lighting a cigarette as I studied the tattoo on his hand. "Room mate" He scoffed bumping past me as I realized his presence was like a drug and I was addicted.
It was the next morning at Jakes and I began regretting every second as it ate me alive today. I didn't want this to become between us and our friendship and I'm hoping Jake will understand I wasn't in the right state of mind I was in pain. I can't take back what we've done but at the moment it felt so right.
"Are you leaving?" Jake exhaled asking out his sleep stretching as I began gathering my things together. "Yeah just call or text me maybe we can hangout later" I smiled small hiding the fact I felt extremely awkward and uncomfortable the next morning about the whole situation of us hooking up. "Alright" Jake mumbled in a sleepy tone rolling over on his side as I bite my lip "Hey" I whispered softly "Hey can we not tell anyone about this" I hesitated to ask as I scratched the back of my head.
"Don't worry about it" Jake mumbled giving me a thumbs up "God forbid your boyfriend knows" he scoffed placing his face in the pillow. "Not funny" I rolled my eyes as Jake waved me off. "Friends?" I shut one eye as he didn't lift his face from the pillow giving me a thumbs up, I laughed a little as I shut his door quietly leaving his house taking a deep breath.
It was beautiful outside as I smiled small shutting one eye in the sun enjoying the weather. I guess I had to fathom the reality of the situation that me and Danny no longer were getting back together. He decided to move onto other people and truly didn't care about me anymore. I never thought respecting his time and space would lead him to forget about "Us".
I wanted to apologize today for my drunken behavior last night so I decided I'd drive by Danny's to talk and get the proper closure I needed. As I got into my Uber I looked down at my phone scrolling through Social Media.
Via Text Jake "I definitely should of waited back then"
I then ran my thumb over the sentence on my screen lightly as I scoffed rolling my eyes smiling small.

I laughed a little after sending Jake a gif as I rolled the window down and ran my fingers through my hair. Jake did make me feel better but I knew I was just trying to get back at Danny which was the wrong thing to do. "Right here thank you" I sat up directing the driver as I took a deep breath getting out shutting the door. I then folded my arms looking at Danny's house as I looked down walking up the driveway to his porch. I then knocked lightly as I sighed waiting I bit down on my nail.
The door then cracked opened slowly as Danny began rubbing his eye shirtless. A bit nervous I opened my mouth then shut it gulping. "Ah um hey" I fake smiled looking down then up tapping my fingertips together "Sorry I didn't mean to wake you" I pushed a piece of hair behind my ear "I wanted to apologize for last night" I then blocked the sun with my hand looking at Danny.
He glared at me saying nothing as he held the door open. "Ah um yeah I didn't mean to wake you" I whispered under my breath feeling a bit awkward. "Can we talk?" I tilted my head exhaling "Yeah give me a second" he mumbled shutting the door as my heart began racing I turned away sitting down on the porch steps waiting patiently. Talk about having your stomach in a knot, I couldn't even talk correctly or look Danny in his face.
