Kmyersxo 2 hours in Labor...someone's tired

Today, I was induced and I've been in two hours of painful labor since. This wasn't as easy as I thought it would be as I was fighting through every contraction without a epidural yet. "God" I hissed through my teeth taking deep breaths as I placed my hand on my forehead talking to my nurse as Danny was knocked out. It was 5:30AM and I'm only two centimeters dilated thank god Danny was by side throughout this whole thing and my mom. Danny's parents were on their way along with the rest of our friends.
"Do you want to try and drink or eat something light like a applesauce or yogurt?" My mom suggested as I was in pain with my eyes closed. "Just more ice please" I exhaled as the only thing I could eat was ice at this moment and keep down. "Fuck" I hissed rolling onto my side a little as I took another deep breath placing my hand under my stomach. "Just relax" My mom said placing her hand on my knee as she smiled small looking at me I sniffled with my eyes closed as I could feel my lip quiver from pain.
Danny moved in his sleep as he moved his arms out his hoodie sleeves getting comfortable leaning his head against the wall. "You think he'll faint or cry?" My mom scoffed rubbing my hair back as I tried not to laugh. "Don't make me laugh it hurts" I exhaled blinking a few times looking at Danny sleeping. "Must be nice" I said sarcastically as my mom laughed a little shaking her head. "He needs to eat something too" She mumbled looking at Danny before grabbing the remote flicking through channels. "He hasn't left the room" She said as I smiled small looking at Danny as I pressed my lips together.
"Knock knock" A voice said quietly peeking in the door as I saw Sarah smiling in excitement with a gift bag and balloons. "Is he sleeping?" She laughed looking at Danny as she looked around the room setting her belongings down. "How are you?" She sighed standing in front of the bed looking at me closely. "Don't ever have kids" I rolled my eyes as Sarah scoffed smiling sitting beside me on the bed taking my hand into hers. "Did you get your epidural yet?" She whispered as I squeezed her hand a little.
"No" I mumbled taking a dee breath as I heard another knock on the door opening my eyes. "Mrs Myers?" A Dr said coming in friendly introducing hisself as I gripped the bar of the hospital bed squeezing my eyes shut through another contraction. "Yes that's me" I raised my hand then gripped the bar again talking deep breaths as Sarah rubbed my back. "Dr Hollenback nice to meet you I'm here to do your epidural if that's alright with you?" He said looking down at me with his hands on his hips chewing on some gum as he pulled his face mask down.
I licked my lips pressing them together as the contraction went down I gave him a nod. "Wake up Danny" I exhaled sitting up slowly as Sarah shook him a little he instantly opened his eyes sitting up. "I'm up I'm up" He mumbled blinking a few times yawning as he took a deep breath stretching. "What's going on?" He said standing up sliding his hands into his basketball shorts. "Giving her the epidural now" My mom explained as Danny rubbed his eyes then hands down his face a bit overwhelmed. "Alright" He exhaled blinking a few times waking up as he gulped looking at me.
"You alright?" He whispered tilting his head as I gave him a little nod following the nurses procedures as I bowed my head exhaling deeply. "This is going to feel a little cold" The nurse whispered as I felt shivers down my back closing my eyes. "What is that?" Danny asked interested. "Just cleaning of her back before we inject the needle" The nurse smiled small saying as Danny covered his mouth holding his jawline watching. "Imagine being a woman right?" My mom said to Danny sarcastically as he blinked a few times shaking his head. "Feeling light headed yet?" The Dr sarcastically asked Danny laughing a little as Danny gulped watching tilting his head watching the epidural procedure.
"Now hold still don't move" The dr directed as the nurse moved in front of me holding my shoulders. "O-o-ow" I hissed squeezing my eyes shut as they gave me the epidural I began to cry I could feel my legs and arms shaking. "There see nice and quick that was the hardest part were done" The Dr said as I sniffled waiting for the nurse to close my gown. "Good job" The nurse said rubbing up and down my arms to comfort me as I laid back slowly. "See it wasn't that bad" Sarah said unfolding her arms putting her hands on her hips. "I couldn't look" Danny said as my mom laughed a little. "Wait till she starts pushing" My mom said as Danny exhaled looking at me as I closed my eyes feeling more relaxed.
"Get her a damp rag Danny" My mom insisted as he nodded walking away my mom kissed my forehead. "I can't do this" I sniffled feeling my lip quiver. "You're going to be fine" My mom whispered rubbing my hair back as Danny returned with the rag she set it on my forehead. "Just relax" She said moving off the bed. "I'll give you two a minute" My mom said as Danny sat on the bed caressing my ankle softly looking at me. My mom and Sarah then left the room shutting the door quietly as Danny got up hovering over me kissing my forehead.
"Nervous?" He asked nervously as he gulped staring at me. "More like scared" I talked with my eyes closed as Danny took my hand rubbing his thumb over my fingers softly. Danny then slowly moved into the hospital bed with me as he laid beside me holding me, I felt more calm and safe as he rubbed his thumb over my palm softly. "I'm here every second of the way" He mumbled as I smiled small with my eyes closed.
