"Do you genuinely think he slept with her?" I exhaled looking at Jake as he looked down shrugging carelessly messing with his fingers. "I mean" He paused as I gulped rubbing up and down my arms.
"I mean you were his best friend you would know" I whispered nervously biting my lip anxious for a answer.
"To be honest" Jake exhaled. "No" He cleared his throat as I got confused blinking a few times as I narrows my eyes. "I mean I know it sounds and looks bad and I wasn't there" Jake began ranting in Danny's defense. "But" He paused pressing his lips together. "Cheat on you?" He raised a brow then shook his head looking back down at his fingers. "Never in a million years he's in love with you" He shut on eye in the sun as he scoffed shrugging. "I know him especially when it comes to females" He mumbled. "I know the way he looks and talks about you" He scratched by his nose.
"But again I wasn't there and thought you should of seen the messages" He finished taking a deep breath as I rolled my eyes taking a deep breath running my fingers through my hair. "I don't know what to believe anymore" I closed my eyes. "He's just been blowing me up and showering me in gifts and writing my mom" I began ranting a bit overwhelmed as Jake nodded listening. "Well you kinda are carrying his child" Jake scoffed looking down at my stomach then away. "He kinda has a right to contact you and check on you" Jake said licking his lips. "And maybe it's not true maybe you should talk to Cameron or his other friend Travis" He said staring at me.
"I just don't want to see Danny or speak to him" I said rubbing up my stomach. "I don't need the stress" I said twirling the charm on my necklace closing my eyes enjoying the breeze as we sat on Jakes porch swing. "Stress is avoiding the problem especially with a child involved don't be inconsiderate" He said rocking the swing back a little as I dropped my mouth. "OH I'm inconsiderate!?" I gasped in my defense. "I didn't sleep in bed with another guy" I scoffed shaking my head. "Well you kinda did with me to be fair" Jake said smiling small looking down laughing a little as I rolled my eyes trying not to laugh. "Not funny" I cleared my throat crossing my arms.
"Just a little" Jake scoffed gesturing out a inch with his thumb and pointer finger shutting one eye
in the sun. "I don't know what to do" I laughed a little shaking my head grunting under my breath.
"Just hear him out or talk to Cam maybe Sarah knows" Jake shrugged rubbing up his arm. "Good to see you though I'm glad your healthy despite all this bullshit" He mumbled looking down at his shoes pushing the swing back and forth a little.
"I missed you" I said looking at him as he nodded scoffing. "You can't hate me for having to distant our friendship" I began explaining as Jake cut me off. "You're in love know" He said loudly over me as I laughed a little shoving him slowly as he laughed a little shaking his head. "I respect it" He responded shrugging.
"Wow you're actually pretty big" He said looking at my stomach raising his eyebrows. "I can't believe you're having a boy I wish I was allowed to be more involved" Jake exhaled looking down at his phone.
"You and Danny never tried to talk" I said in his defense tilting my head. "Dude it's Danny come on he doesn't wanna talk let's be real " Jake said looking at me as I bursted out laughing covering my mouth with my sleeve. "He's crazy" Jake laughed shaking his head as I caught my breath nodding my head agreeing.
"We always jokingly talked about what it would be like to be dads when we were older" Jake began ranting as I took a deep breath. "How are kids would play and his would call me uncle" He mumbled shaking his head rubbing up his arm. "I'm sorry" I exhaled as he shrugged looking down at the ground. "Yeah me too I'm just as wrong at you" Jake scoffed rubbing his knuckle into his palm nervously. "He was my best friend" Jake whispered under breath his breath as I felt guilty looking at him zone out at the ground.
"I think you'll talk eventually with time" I said as Jake shrugged nodding. "You think of a name yet?" He asked squinting his eyes in the sun as I shook my head "No" smiling small rubbing up and down my stomach slowly. "Not a JR?" He asked. "We don't need another Danny Leyman" I scoffed as Jake laughed nodding. "I figured Danny would want a JR that's all" Jake mumbled as I took a deep breath looking down at my phone scrolling through some messages of Danny's I left on seen.
Via text Danny
"Give me a chance to explain plz that's all I beg of you is to hear me out. I didn't sleep with anyone in Vegas Kate. I'm going crazy thinking about you and wondering if you're alright I wish you would just answer my calls or text. Plz don't do this to me."
I exhaled lightly swiping my thumb over his message as I exited out of it without replying. "Maybe I'll talk to Sarah or Cam" I whispered under my breath as Jake looked at me then away nodding. "Don't overwhelm and stress yourself out too much" He nudged me with his elbow lightly. "Not good for the baby" He scoffed smiling small as I leaned over hugging him tight as I closed my eyes taking a deep breath. "Thank you" I mumbled as he slowly hugged me back placing his hand on my back. "No problem" He mumbled back as I slowly pulled away pushing a strand of hair behind my ear.
"At least talk to him alright?" Jake suggested pressing his lips together as I fake smiled giving him a nod. "Alright" I laughed a little standing up adjusting my shorts down as I put the strap of my purse over my shoulder saying goodbye. I had a million confused emotions running throughout my whole body as I slid my sunglasses down onto my eyes walking to my car leaving Jakes. I wiped underneath my eyes a bit emotional as I danced myself off with my hand taking a deep breath before pulling off.

As I slowly pulled up to our apartment I noticed Danny sitting on the porch with a whole bunch of bags as I gulped parking. "What the hell" I whispered under my breath to myself gripping my wheel nervously. Danny's been staying between friends and family within our arguing he let me stay at the apartment.
Parked, I took a deep breath getting out as I immediately made intense eye contact with Danny.
"Hey" He said standing up anxiously wiping his hands off on his pants nervously. "Um hi" I said crossing my arms a few feet away pushing my sunglasses back into my hair. "I was shopping today and figured you'd wanna see some ah stuff" Danny mumbled clearing his throat as he messed with his fingers nervously. He looked as if he hasn't slept in days from the bags underneath his eyes. "What are you doing here Danny" I exhaled tilting my head looking at the bags then him. "I came to see you" He glanced at my stomach then up at me. "Talk to you" He continued licking his lips. "I miss you" He shrugged nervously rubbing his hands together.
"I just can't do this right now" I whispered underneath my breath. "Your mom said you been to four appointments" He mumbled glaring at me as I rolled my eyes. "Wassup with that?" He narrowed his eyes opening his arms dropping them. "He's my son too you know" He finished as I took a deep breath looking at him. "Why are you doing this?" He whispered under his breath as I blinked a few times.
"Why did you do this?" I argued back. "I didn't FUCK anyone" He aggressively said as his eyes began to water. "Fucking ask Cam ask Trav ask the fucking girl" He said holding out his phone as my mouth dropped. "What have you been texting her or something?" I asked narrowing my eyes.
"What'd you exchange numbers?!" I asked again.
"No we didn't fucking exchange numbers or text she followed me on Instagram" He argued back narrowing his eyes still holding out his phone. "I'm not fucking lying to you" He said as I felt my body fulfill with anger as I looked away flipping my hair over my shoulder in the wind. "Your friends will just lie for you anyways so would she" I scoffed as he put his hands on his head slowly rubbing them down his face.
"I did not cheat on you" He said as a tear dropped down his face as he wiped it away with his forearm.
"You need to go" I whispered under my breath as my lip quivered a bit I rolled my eyes fighting back some tears. "I went shopping today for our son and all I could do is think about you" He sniffled pacing back to the bags picking them up as I watched him I took a deep breath placing my hand on my stomach. "Please just let me explain" He said raising the bags up then lowering them by his side. "I have nothing else to lose" He mumbled clenching down on his jaw twice looking down at the ground.
I wiped a tear away as I paced past him walking into the apartment as I slammed the door locking it.
I just couldn't find the strength for the truth right now I was too emotional and hurt with the possibility of everything being true. As I placed my
back against the door closing my eyes my phone went off as I looked down seeing Danny's name I silenced his call.
I needed to get some sleep....
