Chapter 61 Frustration

11:30 PM

As I tossed and turned able to sleep I blinked my eyes opened slowly staring into the dark, My mind was racing after seeing Danny I couldn't sleep.
I exhaled sitting up slowly looking over my shoulder at Mason as I scratched my head, I slowly got up quietly pulling my T-shirt down as I walked downstairs to get something to drink.

I took a deep breath looking down at my phone as I realized I got a friend request from Danny. "He unblocked me" I whispered to myself as I leaned against the counter biting my lip as I gulped hesitating to accept it. I hovered my thumb over the button as I blinked clicking "Accept" as I set my phone down on the counter. I exhaled running my fingers through my hair as I opened the fridge grabbing some Orange Juice feeling anxious.

Sipping on some orange juice I heard a chime moving my eyebrows down confused as I slowly put my cup down, I picked up my phone unlocking it as I slide my thumb across the screen.

I raised my eyebrows in shock as my heart dropped and fulfilled with happiness at the same time, I looked over my shoulder precautious of Mason as I replied my phone number. I exhaled sipping my drink smiling thinking to myself as my phone began ringing I paced to answer it.

PHONECALL

Danny "What are you doing?"

Me "Ummm nothing can't sleep why?" I whispered pressing my lips together.

Danny "Me either wanna go to a party?"

Me "Ummm" I whispered closing my eyes mouthing, "Fuck" as I exhaled pushing my hair back.

Danny "Why are you whispering?"

Me "I'm not" I cleared my throat placing a stand of hair behind my ear. "I'll go" I said lowly.

Danny "Be there in fifteen minutes"

Me "Okay" I exhaled hanging up.

END OF PHONECALL

I didn't know what I was getting myself into but I couldn't resist. I rubbed my hands down my face smiling biting my lip with excitement as I tip toed through the house back upstairs to change.
I gulped crossing my arms walking into my room seeing Mason sleeping peacefully as I tip toed changing my clothes putting my shoes on.

"Where are you going?" Mason exhaled flickering his eyes opened. "Ah um" I pressed my lips together blinking a few times thinking of a great lie.
"My brother needs me to pick him up" I whispered with hesitation rubbing up my arm slowly. "Is everything cool?" Mason mumbled sitting up slowly getting up rubbing his eyes.

"W-W-what are you doing?" I stuttered as Mason glanced over at me then away putting his hoodie then shoes on. "I'm coming with you it's late" He mumbled. "I don't want you driving alone" He whispered under his breath as I got overwhelmed.

"I'm fine really babe go back to sleep" I said approaching him quickly touching his arms as he stared at me. "Are you sure?" He exhaled slowly wrapping his arm around my neck as I hugged him closing my eyes. "I'll be fine I'll text you" I exhaled pulling away fake smiling as I immediately felt guilt.
Mason nodded taking his stuff back off getting comfortable as I smiled small covering him up sitting down beside him. "Love you" I whispered kissing his cheek as he nodded a little closing his eyes.
