It was a few weeks after Danny and I got back from Paris, we've been more than perfect since.
We're both back to work and Danny's focusing on looking into business with his dad or accepting a new UPS job he was offered.
I think I'm going to start considering looking into a trade school that way I can finally move forward in life and leave the shop. It's almost Christmas and I'm excited to have Sarah back for the holidays.
"Did you grab the mail?" Danny yelled over me vacuuming with his arms opened.
"Yeah it's on the counter in the kitchen" I yelled back as he rolled his eyes walking past me to the kitchen.
Listening to some music while cleaning I stopped vacuuming taking a deep breath as I decided to light some new scented candles.
"When are you going to let me help around here" I say while putting my hair into a bun walking to the kitchen.
I look at Danny who's on the phone paying some bills who puts his finger to his mouth for me to be quiet.
"Yeah I wanna make a full payment" he mumbled looking down at the bill reading it.
I took a deep breath rolling my eyes as Danny glanced over at me, I stared back listening being patient as I tapped my nails on the counter.
"I want to contribute" I sigh as he hangs up the phone finishing his call, he ignores me flipping through more mail.
"You can be such a ass sometimes" I walk away going to pour a cup of coffee as Danny scoffs under his breath smirking small.
The doorbell then rings as I blow on my coffee looking at Danny, he raises his eyebrows at me then looks down at his phone texting ignoring the door.
"Really" I roll my eyes walking to the door to answer it as I open the door slowly moving out the way I spot seeing Danny's dad.
"Oh um hey Mr Leyman" I smile small then look over my shoulder at Danny who's glaring at the door.
"Is Daniel here?" His dad asks as I bite my lip nodding "Yes come in ah please" I gulp moving out the way a little off guard as he walks in looking around with his hands in his pockets.
I look at Danny who's standing with his arms folded looking at his dad then away, I feel a awkward tension as I take a deep breath and walk to the living room turning the Tv on.
"What" I hear Danny say as I sip my cup of coffee looking down at the living room floor. I felt guilty for trying to listen but I knew Danny probably wouldn't tell me later.
"It's your mother" his dad says as my heart drops knowing that's a touchy subject for Danny I bite down on my nail.
"What she freak out and get put into a 23 hr lock down facility again" Danny scoffs sarcastically saying.
"Or is she just taking to much medicine dad" Danny says again sarcastically. He wasn't being too nice about the situation he was acting careless.
"Your mother is sick" Danny's dad blurts out.
"Yeah she's been sick for awhile now don't you think" Danny responds.
"You should go visit her she's not doing too well and this time it could be a permanent cost" Danny's dad takes a deep breath saying "Thought you should know" he finishes his sentence.
"I'm good she died along time ago" Danny said.
At that moment I never heard him get so cold and heartless. I sighed twirling the charm on my necklace as I heard the door slam, I jumped a little gulping looking around the living room.
I then bite my lip a bit nervous as I heard a dish smack onto the floor, I gasped putting my hand over my chest jumping a little as I immediately got up walking slowly to the kitchen.
I rubbed up my arm slowly as I seen Danny sitting on the kitchen floor and a broken glass next to him.
I then pushed my hair back and slowly crouched down next to him picking up pieces.
"I'm sorr—" Danny begins to say stopping my hand from me touching it "Don't it's okay" I exhale deeply fighting his hand off picking up the glass.
