"I just had it right next to my perfume on my dresser!" I argued back at Danny who was helping me look for my work name tag. "Why would I touch a fucking name tag?" He opened his arms arguing back as I grunted under my breath digging through my belongings. "Maybe because you're a idiot" I said raising my eyebrows brushing past him as he watched me search for it.
"Yeah cause I totally just want your name tag there's just so much I can do with it totally you caught me" He scoffed sarcastically as I turned around whipping a shoe at him. He immediately dunked placing his hands on his head. "What the fuck?!" He said as I rolled my eyes still looking.
"If you're not going to help me look for it get out" I said annoyed as I finished getting ready for work. "Would you calm down?" Danny said watching me as I rolled my eyes pinning my bangs back with bobby pins. "I'm sure it will show up" Danny said stepping towards me touching my arm as I ripped it away. "Babe stop" Danny said as I walked past him finished getting ready for work.
"Where are the keys I'm going to be late" I opened up my hand as Danny stared at me pressing his lips together holding back a laugh. "It's not funny" I stomped my foot as he exhaled dropping his keys slowly in my hand. As I tried walking away he grabbed my arm stopping me as I exhaled looking at him. "You do realize you're being psycho over a name tag?" He raised a brow as I rolled my eyes trying not to laugh as I looked away.
Danny placed his finger on my cheek turning my face back to him slowly. "I'll get you a new one if we don't find it" He mumbled as I nodded pecking his lips. "I have to go" I said as he looked at me head to toe I walked away. As I began walking down the hall I patted my pants and purse realizing I forgot my notebook I wrote all my orders on. "Shit" I exhaled walking back as I walked into the room looking around I noticed Danny laughing.
"What's so funny?" I said crossing my arms narrowing my eyes. "You" He scoffed smiling small as he licked his lips pulling my notebook out from behind his back. "Very funny" I said snatching it out his hand as I paced out of the room going to work.
I guess I was developing some mood swings as I felt more emotional day by day and a shorter patience.
Work
"I asked him four fucking times if he wanted the mayo on the side or on the burger" I paced back and forth with my hands on my hips as I rubbed my hair back. "Then he says I didn't ask for mayo" I mock a customer explaining to my coworker.
"Kate breathe" My coworker Miranda laughed out as she watched me pace back and forth.
"I'll take over the table you can still have the tip it's fine" She said trying to calm me down as she rubbed up and down my arms, I fanned myself off with my hand as I looked up fighting back tears.
"Go take a break" She insisted as I sniffled nodding crossing my arms walking past her to the break room. I was becoming a little overwhelmed with school and work as I was becoming farther along in my pregnancy. I know Danny said I didn't have to work but I wanted to I could never just not work and let someone take care of me.
As I rubbed my thumb over my phone screen of my picture of Danny I smiled small as I figured to give him a call at work.
PHONECALL
Danny "Wassup"
Me "Just on break" I sniffled chipping some nail polish off my nails.
Danny "Why does it sound like you're crying?"
Me "Just a little stressed out that's all" I rolled my eyes wiping underneath them.
Danny "Wanna talk about it?"
Me "Maybe later I just missed you"
Danny "You sure you don't wanna murder me over a name tag" He scoffed as I began cracking up.
Me "Stop if I love you I'll see you at home"
Danny "I love you too take it easy"
Me "I'll try" I sniffled.
Danny "I wanna see my kid born don't make me come in there" He said as I laughed.
END OF PHONE CALL
As I laughed a little feeling in a better mood I hung up the phone with Danny. Thank god I had such a amazing best friend, boyfriend and father of my child all in one. I couldn't have picked a more perfect person to raise a family with and spend the rest of my life with.
As a few hours went by my shift was eventually over as I made some great money beginning to count my tips. "We were super busy" Miranda exhaled counting her tips as I nodded shaking my head. "I cannot wait to go home" I said placing my tips into my wallet looking down at my phone for a second.
My heart dropped as I seen Jakes name pop up on my Instagram DMs. I bite my lips nervously as I thought about opening it I began to slowly place my thumb on the message as I stopped. I rolled my eyes and placed my phone back into my purse taking a deep breath. I haven't heard from Jake in months since we fell off over Danny and I was wondering why he didn't reach out sooner. I felt a bit guilty not opening the message as I needed to think about it first or maybe open it with Danny.
HOME
"I'm so tired" I exhaled sitting back against Danny in the bathtub as I got comfortable closing my eyes.
"I can't believe we find out what we're having next week I feel like time is flying" Danny mumbled as I smiled small with my eyes closed feeling him rub my stomach.
"Are you scared?" I whispered.
"Nah not really I feel confident" He mumbled as I laughed a little. "That's just because you're cocky" I said. "And good at everything you do" I finished as he scoffed. "True" He mumbled placing his chin on my head.
"I just wanna see him or her already" He exhaled.
"I wanna know what they like or don't like" He began talking as I listened closing my eyes smiling.
"I wanna know their heart I wanna know their fears so I can save them or help them" He began ranting.
"I don't know I'm already thinking everyday of ways to make him or her happy" He finished.
"You're gonna be a good dad Danny" I said looking over my shoulder at him. "He or she is going to love you" I whispered under my breath as we held a intense eye contact.
"What about you?" He asked as I was a bit confused.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"What if you don't want to spend the rest of your life with me?" He mumbled clenching down on his jaw. "What if one day this isn't what you want or I'm not?" He gulped. "What if we end up coparenting or I end of up child support torn" He finished as I moved my eyebrows down shaking my head.
"Danny I would marry you if you asked" I said as he raised his eyebrows in shock. "I don't want anyone else I can't picture myself with anyone else" I whispered under my breath. "So we're doing this together? For the long run" He raised a brow. "I'm in this forever I don't know about you" I laughed a little as he smiled small glancing from my lips to my eyes leaning up kissing me.
As we kissed passionately I slid my hand down his cheek slowly pulling away putting my forehead and nose to his. "Besides I might want like two more" I mumbled as he leaned back staring at me with widened eyes, I laughed splashing him as he laughed shaking his head.
I wanted to do something nice for Danny before our gender reveal I wanted him to feel special and show him how much I loved him.
