A/N: No matter what he has to do, Vergil always gets what he wants.

[Kidnapping Saviour]

Zel Kei, an innocent 17 year old boy, bade goodbye to his friends at the crossroad, turning the corner to start on his journey back home. It was just another normal day that he had spent in school, struggling to stay awake in Advance Mathematics classes, helping his team win a few rounds of basketball during Physical Education classes, talking to girls during lunch... Nothing appeared out of the blue as Zel checked his phone for any notifications that might have popped up from when he last checked it.

Smiling distantly to himself, he texted replies to his girlfriend and his best friend who had sent him a funny picture their classmate with something stuck on his zipper. It was safe to say that Zel was rather distracted from the happenings around him until hands appeared from nowhere, grabbing him and yanking him from the walkway. Stumbling to the side with the force of the pull, Zel fisted his hand around the phone, and did his best to turn with the stumble, using his body weight to put more force in his punch.

Resistance met his punch, and Zel froze for a moment to see icy blue eyes staring down at him, a no-nonsense expression etched in a marbled face. It was a look ready to freeze anyone to death, but Zel was surprised to find that the chill wasn't as effective as it was the last time he saw it. Either his kidnapper was becoming less scary, or Zel was actually beginning to get used to that stare.

"Get in the car, Mr. Kei." The man Zel knew as Vergil Sparda said evenly with one hand still twisted in Zel's sweater, the other blocking Zel's attempted punch.

"My mom told me not to get into cars with strangers, Mr. Sparda." Zel answered, pulling his fist back. In all honesty, he was a little surprised that Vergil allowed him to retract his hand, because back when they first met, Vergil had never allowed him to withdraw and had almost all but dragged him away against his will.

"I highly doubt that I am a stranger at this point, Mr. Kei." Vergil answered, then continued after a very short pause as if adding an afterthought. "And you might be a little too old to really be heeding Ms. Lucerne's advice religiously."

"The reason why I have been able to live for so long is because of my mother." Zel answered. "It makes sense to obey whatever she says. And I'm sure you know that she told me to stay away from my father and anyone related to him. You come under that category."

"I have been informed of your mother's questionable so-called advice to you." Vergil answered. "But I am sure you are also highly aware of the fact that your mother has yet to find a useful deterrence against me. Regardless, you and I understand the result of any attempted runaways. It would be wise for the both of us to save the energy, and you get in the car obediently. We can continue the conversation on the way."

It was true that Zel knew that any attempts of getting away from Vergil would definitely come back in failure, and thus he offered no protests as he obediently climbed into the black sedan awaiting him on the road. The door closed politely behind him, and Zel was a little surprised to find that he had been collected alone when Vergil rounded the back of the car, and got into the driver seat before locking the doors.

"Is my dad slashing the budget now? Getting only you to kidnap me is awfully risky, isn't it?" Zel asked from the backseat as Vergil started the engines of the car. It was a new experience, because the previous few times that Zel had been kidnapped, there had at least been another driver while Vergil sat beside him in the backseat to make sure that he wouldn't try to unlock the door and jump out of the car.

"I convinced him to do away with the team. I figured that a high school boy like you would appreciate to be escorted off the road rather than taken in an ugly fashion if you were still with your friends." Vergil answered easily, checking around carefully before turning the car smoothly into the road.
