*Niall's P.O.V.*

I woke up surrounded by my stuff, that I had failed to organize, and sat up. I got dressed and walked out of my room and out to the campus, where people swarmed the small shop to buy text books. I decided to put that off and walked down to the nearby McDonalds for breakfast. As I walked towards the entrance I noticed Harry, Liam, Zayn, and Louis sitting and talking inside. I stopped and stared too long because Louis looked up and noticed me. I turned around walking away quickly, but they ran outside and caught up to me.

"Wait up, lad!" Liam shouted.

"Why are you guys in California?" I asked bluntly.

"We couldn't let you have all the fun!" Clover said walking outside towards us, "But in all seriousness, what the hell are you doing?" She walked up to me and the boys, her shoulders back.

"I'm getting an education, what are you doing?" I snapped.

"Don't," Harry shook his head, "we don't care about your stupid education, we mean, what are you doing with the girl?"

"Now," I grunt, suddenly defensive and protective of Kennedy, "don't fucking touch Kennedy, or anybody that she knows and loves." I walk away from them, "Don't you fucking dare."

I walked back to the campus, still hungry, and go to the lobby in hopes for a vending machine. As I walk into the lobby I notice Kennedy about to step into the elevator.

"Wait! Babe! Let's go get some lunch together." She turned to me and took my hand, leaving the open elevator, and out of the lobby. I held her hand tightly as we walked to the car, I couldn't help but want her with me at all times. We drove around for 40 minutes in search for a fast food restaurant, other than McDonalds, and failed.

"What's on your mind?" Kennedy asks me.

"It's nothin-" I said, but stopped as I noticed Liam sweet talking a girl with curly blonde hair. Kennedy saw what I was looking at and quickly got out of the car. We ran together over to Liam and the girl and tried to act normal.

"Hey! Tinley! How's it going?" Kennedy asked the girl.

"You know each other?" Liam asked, he smirked, he knew they knew each other. I was furious, I knew he was doing this in spite to anger me. It was working, but I put up a front, Liam wasn't winning this.

"Of course!" Tinley replied cheerfully, "have you guys met Liam? He is super funny!" She giggled and touched Liam's chest, and kissed his cheek. Kennedy looked frustrated so I grabbed her hand to calm her. Tinley noticed and squealed, "Kennedy! Are you two, a thing?" She winked at me and smiled big to Kennedy. Kennedy blushed slightly, while still frustrated, and simply nodded.

"So, I was thinking we all hang out together and get to know each other over a double date tonight!" Liam proposed. Kennedy tensed up, but before she could snap at him, I said, "That would be lovely, see you at six?" I realized that if I was to reject his offer, I wouldn't get the opportunity to break them up. I nodded and walked away with Kennedy, who looked at me questinally. The date was set and Liam walked off with Tinley shortly after, I couldn't believe what just happened, I couldn't believe Liam would do something like that. I had just told him earlier that day that he wasn't to touch anyone Kennedy knows. Liam was obviously trying to anger me, and it was working. He better not hurt that girl.
