Hey guys! I'm so sorry that I am lacking in the uploads, but I am really struggling to find inspiration. So this chapter is going to be very short. But I promise more will be up soon. I have been thinking of other story ideas, and also plan to publish them too. But those may be a while longer.
"Has it already been 5 months?" I gawked at my stomach as it had grown quite big.
"Have you ever been that small?" Clover pinched my arm and laughed a little. "And yes. It really has."
"I can't wait!" I said excitedly, staring over the dashboard of Clovers car as she drove towards the hospital.
"What are you hoping it will be? A boy or girl?" Clover asked.
"I don't know. Maybe a girl. So I can dress her up, and curl her hair, you know, just be girly with her." I smiled and rubbed my belly softly. "But, I would love a little boy too, don't get me wrong."
"I'm sure Niall would want a boy." Clover said back to me, her eyes still on the road.
"He'll have to find out later."
"What do you mean? Is he not coming?" Clover sounded slightly worried.
"He'll just be there a little late. He's got class during the first half of the ultrasound, but he'll make it when we determine the sex."
"Alrighty." Clover said. "It's just. My man didn't show up for mine..."
"I'm sorry." I said, truely sorry.
"It's alright." She looked at me for a second to smile, then continued back on the street as she clenched the steering wheel tightly.
"Hey. Thanks for driving me." I said. I was low on gas money, and she was being an angel by helping me with this.
"No problem, deary."

The hospital beds were always cold and unpleasant for me. I didn't like the atmosphere of hospital rooms either, but it wasn't so bad that I could't stand it. They just put me on edge. I was eager to find out what the sex of my baby was, it was worth the visit.
My doctor had already lathered on the gel and was preparing the transducer, when Niall showed up.
"Hey babe. You're early." I said calmly to him.
"I got out early for this. It was killing me that I was missing out."
"Well, you havent't missed much." I said, as the doctor began running the transducer over my tummy. The image began to appear on the square screen next to me as Niall and I eagerly watched. It was difficult to determine it, but the doctors trained eyes knew better than us.
"Congratulations!" He said, "You're having a girl!" He smiled genuinely, with a twinge of fakeness. I'm sure he had said that line a thousand times over.
"A girl!" Niall exclaimed and leaned over me for a hug.
"Well that was quick." I laughed as I hugged Niall.
"I've been doing this for years mam, it gets to be very routine." My doctor smiled again.
"I believe it." I said. Niall pulled away as the doctor left the room to get something to clean my stomach.
"Babe, I'm so happy for us." Niall couldn't stop smiling.
"But what if we aren't ready?" I started to feel anxious again. I hated when I did, but it always washed over me like a salty ocean wave.
"Of course we are ready! I promise, Kennedy. We can leave this place, we can leave college. I can find a real job, other than working for Clover, and we can get a house. We can raise our baby girl and live happily." The words were rushing out of him liked he had recited them in his head a billion times.
"But, we spent so much money to get into this university. We are in debt because of it." I let out a heavy breath. "What kind of job would we get as college drop outs?" My anxiety was growing, and it felt as if someone was tugging on my lungs.
"We will find something. We'll find jobs, it isn't as hard as it you're making it out to be." Niall grabbed my hand reasurringly. The door pushed open and the doctor walked in, smelling of hospital latex gloves.
"Alright now, lets clean you up!" He said with, yet another, exhausted smile.
