Leaving Naomi with Julie made me slightly worried. Yes, Naomi had been training, but she was nowhere near me or my brothers. Still, Kraang were decently easy opponents just by themselves. Just had to be prepared for a good solid whack when it came to hitting them. Hitting metal wasn't fun. I had to convince myself that she'd be fine, even with a small headache.

I was searching the hallway that I had figured held Kirby. Just as I found the door and turned to it to open it, a gray color behind me startled me. Jumping and whirling around I saw Julie. She looked at me and tilted her head in her curious manner.

Breathing out in an anxious manner with my shoulders relaxed downward I gasped, "Don't do that. You scared me half to death." Her only response was one of her tails swishing behind her. "Did Naomi go ahead and go back?" She nodded. "Okay." That meant Julie was with me. That's okay.

Turning back to the door I opened it. Kirby was still inside. "Mr. O'Neil?" He shuffled a little then turned his attention to me. "I've come to save you. It's me; Donatello?"

That's when he seemed to light up. He got up quickly. Behind me, Julie made a growling sound. I turned to her just as Kirby came up to give me a hug, "Thank goodness you've come. Who's this with you?"

"This is Julie," I explained. Just looking at her she seemed troubled. Her bright eyes were glancing left and right, fur starting to fluff up around the edges of her tank top and matted undergarments. "She was found roaming the halls when we were searching for you."

"We?"

"Oh, yeah," I chuckled. "We, uh… Have a couple of additions since last we saw one another." Which was way back when he was still captured by the Kraang. He'd only seen me and my brothers. We hadn't met Mikito and Naomi yet.

"Interesting," Kirby continued thoughtfully. His attention drifted away when, in the distance, we heard gargling sounds. "What was that?"

"I, uh… Don't know." I admitted. "I thought the other cells were empty, besides Julie here." They hadn't had anything in them, so why assume now that there was anything else in the facility besides us and a few Kraang? The gargled sound echoed the halls again followed by a scream. That's when an alarm started to go off. My eyes widened. "Naomi!" Why did I think it was okay to let her go off on her own? Why?!

I took off down the halls from where I had come from. Behind me, Kirby and Julie did the same. After a turn I stopped. This was where Naomi and I had separated. Now it was empty. The gargled sounds grew closer. Julie started to growl right back. I turned to her in question. "What is it?"

Her attention snapped to somewhere just behind me and hissed. Turning my own head I saw a darkened head with orange colorings underneath its chin, and bright lizard yellow eyes. One thing's for sure: that wasn't Naomi. It made the weird growling gargled sounds we've been hearing then dropped to the ground, landing on its feet.

"You must've released another one of the Kraang's mutation experiments," Kirby mentioned. Which only made me wonder if there were any others in this place.

The lizard mutant raised a hand that had a silver wristband that glinted in the lights. "Move!" I shouted. Grabbing Kirby quickly, we made our way down the hall. Yellow gunshots blasted past us as we ran. Behind me I heard the hissing gurgles and angry howls. Kirby and I turned a corner and tucked into it. I wasn't about to leave Naomi or Julie. Which was who stood back and actually attacked the newt mutant.

"Julie!" I called over the sounds of the newt's technology whirring, blasting, and Julie's odd sounds. They paused a moment. Suddenly Julie was at the corner staring at us with her fur ruffled up. Before I could say anything she grabbed me and Kirby and took off down the hall we had just turned the corner in. Getting my footing I led the three of us down the hall. Still I had no idea what became of Naomi. It was too late to worry now. The mutant was right on our heels shooting at us again.
