"Next question, what is the heaviest occurring element?" Liz read off her paper from her spot behind the podium.

I sat on the floor studying, Peter behind me seated beside Mr. Harrington at the practice for the Decathlon. Being on this team was how Peter and I got to know each other.

I was silently cheering Abraham on.

The bell rang, and I looked up to see who it was. It was the kid with glasses, who's name I never learned. Or, I did, I just didn't bother to retain it. "Hydrogen's the lightest," he announced. "That's not the question, okay."

Abraham tapped his bell. "Uranium."

Liz smiled. "That is correct, thank you Abraham."

I did a tiny cheer in complete silence, making the team chuckle.

"Please open your books to page ten," Liz instructed.

I did so, but Peter's conversation caught my ears. "Peter, it's nationals. Is there no way you could take one weekend off?" Mr. Harrington said.

I could hear Peter. "I can't go to Washington. If Mr. Stark needs me, then I have to make sure that I'm here."

Flash spoke up, prompting me to turn around, "Please. You've never even been in the same room as Tony Stark."

I could argue heavily with that, but bit my tongue wisely.

"Wait, what's happening?" The girl next to Glasses Kid asked.

Bluebird answered from the floor. "Peter's not going to Washington." She did so in an accusatory tone.

Peter swallowed hard.

"Really?" Liz said. "Right before Nationals?"

Peter looked guilty.
