I didn't go back to Peter's room that night. I went to MJ's, where she welcomed me warmly.

Well, as warmly as MJ could.

"I figured you'd be sleeping in Peter's room," she said in slight surprise.

I sat down on the edge of her bed quickly. "You-you-you did?!"

She gave me one raised eyebrow. "Yeah. You two are freakishly close. And Ned, too, seems to really like you. You three are so weird."

I was frowning deeply at her, so deeply I could hardly see past my eyebrows. "Hey, MJ, no ones weirder than you."

She ignored that comment. "Where'd you two go?"

I sighed, laying on my back to stare at the ceiling. "I-well, we-you see-"

Lying to Tasha and Wanda was way too difficult, but lying to MJ should've been easier. But usually I wasn't lying to Tasha and Wanda about sneaking off with a cute boy. "We-"

"You're fifteen," MJ told me.

I thought that was useless.

"Elopement can wait," she finished.

I sat straight up. "Michelle!" I slid up to sit next to her against the pillows. "No no no," I shook my head.

MJ placed her book on the bedside table and sat up all business-like. "Y/N, you two disappear regularly. You can trust me, you know. I would like to understand, because you do realize, this doesn't look.....normal," MJ said.

I have her a sideways glare. "Normal meaning?"

"Meaning I think you two sneak off for something naughty," MJ said in a sassy tone.

I pretended to gag, although the idea of doing something 'naughty' with Peter wasn't bad to me. "MJ, we got lost, okay?"

She nodded. "In each other?"

"MJ, I swear to Loki I will hit you over the head with your book," I growled.

She looked down at her book. "The Washington monument literally towers over the entire area. You weren't lost."

"Bullshit," was all I could manage.

"So Peter is SpiderMan, and you're the Widow Maker?"

Her totally correct question caught me totally off guard. "How-how did you figure that?"

She gave me a devastating glare, as if hoping I'd wither away. "Your hair. Your eyes. I've known a long time. But Peter is your constant companion, so is SpiderMan. Not hard to deduce."

I stared at the wall, breathing hard. "Alright Sherlock. It's true."

She nodded. "I know."

"So, since you know who I am, you know what I'll most likely do to you if you tell?" I asked, putting on a new tone.

This tone made her pupils consume the typical color of her iris. "Shit. Yes, of course, of course I do."

I nodded affirmatively to her.

"So, when did he become SpiderMan?" She asked, not looking at me.

I sighed. "That's a long story. And I only know my side."

MJ looked at the clock. "We've got all night!"

I sighed again. "Some time ago, Peter had a run-in with a radioactive spider.

I'd met him ten weeks before such event, and I'd gotten close enough to notice when he was missing.

He missed one day of school, and I didn't fail to notice the oddity of it.
