I knocked on Peter's door. May pulled it open about half a second later, and held out a hand.
I remained silent.
"Let me guess," she said. "You're here to see me?"
I laughed. "Well, yes and no. I'm here to hang out with your weird nephew and his even weirder friend, if that's okay with you."
She smiled and stepped aside. "Come on in."
I walked past her, and on up the hall and into Peter's room.
Ned was in there.
"Oh, hey Ned!" I said, sitting on the floor beside him. "Where's Peter?"
Ned shrugged. "I have no idea."
I nodded and leaned and against the bed, checking my cell.
It was totally silent until the window made a slight noise.
Ned and I shared panicked looks, until I saw SpiderMan crawling in on the ceiling.
Then I really looked panicked.
Ned's expression showed all he felt too. He was as panicked as I, but for different reasons.
Peter got to the middle of the ceiling and tossed his mask down.
It landed about a foot from me.
He crawled the entire length of the ceiling, webbed the door, pulled it shut, and jumped down soundlessly.
Then he turned around, saw us, and froze.
The Lego Death Star on Ned's lap fell to the floor with a loud crash.
"What was that?" May called.
Peter turned to the door. "Uhh, it's nothing! Nothing!"
Then he turned back to us as Ned stood up. I clambered up after him, sharing looks with Peter. "You're the SpiderMan. From YouTube," Ned whispered.
Peter gave him a wild look. "No, I'm not! I'm not!" Peter pressed the spider symbol on his chest, and the suit fell to the floor.
Now, I'm not going to lie, I did stare at his chest. I had every reason to do so, as well, and as soon as I realized what I was doing, I shook myself.
I looked back at Ned, who was staring wide-eyed and opened mouthed. "You were on the ceiling!"
Peter looked up. "No I wasn't, Ned, what're you doing in my room?"
"May let me in, you said we were gonna finish the Death Star!" Ned replied.
"I'm here for that too," I said sheepishly.
Peter gave me an irritable look. "You can't just burst into my room!" He said in a panicked whisper, running to stand beside Ned as May opened the door.
"That turkey meatloaf recipe was a disaster," she said with a chuckle. "Let's go to dinner," she pulled out her bun. "Thai? Ned? You want Thai?"
"Yes," Ned answered, but Peter interrupted, "He's got a thing."
"A thing to do..after," Ned corrected.
"Y/N?" May said to me.
I looked at Peter.
"Yeah. She's coming," Peter answered for me.
I smiled at May uneasily.
"Okay," she said, turning to leave. "Maybe put on some clothes."
