Seven months later......

"You're coming on the field trip."

"No I'm not," I argued.

"Yes you are," Peter argued back, his voice cracking through the cell phone in my hand. "I want you there."

"Why?" I asked stupidly.

"Cause I like you," he said quickly, "and you're avoiding me and Ms. Romanoff says you're annoying and Mr. Stark says you need to get out of it his house and Ms. Maximoff says I'm too cute for you and-"

"If I say yes will you shut up?!" I snapped.

I heard him and MJ arguing for a moment before he said, "I will shut up if you promise to come with me?"

"It's not a question idiot," MJ said in the background.

"Where is it to?" I asked, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"MoMa," Peter answered.

"I'm not interested," I answered.

I could heard Peter's little heart break.

"Please Y/N. I-I-" He trailed off.

"Just tell her, you stupid head!" MJ snapped in the background again.

"I miss you," Peter whispered.

I sat down quickly, heart pounding, clutching the phone tighter. "I...I miss you too."

"Why'd you leave Midtown?" Peter said, sounding unsure he wanted to know.

I had been homeschooled on Midtown's website for about six months now.

"I......I couldn't be around you Peter. You chose...you chose Liz. But it's my fault," I muttered.

"Yeah, yeah it is. If you'd admitted you'd liked me before I asked Liz, trust me, I'd've proposed on the spot," he told me with a slight chuckle.

"So Liz was a second thought?" I dared.

I could hear Peter nodding as he said, "hell yeah. She made it-"

"ARE YOU SERIOUSLY DISCUSSING THIS VIA CELL PHONE?" MJ hollered behind him.

Peter gulped. "Er..she's right. Let's sit in the back of the bus and discuss this, er...deal?"

I sniffled. "Deal."

He hung up.

Wanda looked at me studiously. "What's going on?"

She asked this in a perfect English accent. She'd been practicing.

I sighed, rubbing under my eyes. "Peter and I have a lot to talk about.

Wanda smiled. "Finally."

I snapped my head up to look her in the eyes. "What do you mean 'finally?'"

She smiled widely. "Oh, I mean I could tell you were desperately-are desperately-in love."

I growled under my breath.

"But I've seen the kid, and damn girl," she scoffed. "You've got reasons."

I blushed.
