Peter and I were currently hiding behind a truck, watching the avengers.
I prayed they worked it out so no one had to fight, but I seriously doubted it.
I was being a serious character until Peter started filming again.
"There's captain America...IronMan..Black Widow..whoa, who's that new guy?" He said to the camera. "Oh, and I'm hiding out here with the lovely Widow Maker, Black Widow 2.0."
I rolled my eyes and turned back to look at him.
He waved from behind the camera.
I shook my head and looked back as I heard Tony shout, "UNDEROOS!"
Peter jumped out of his hiding place, webbing Cap's shield, sticking his hands together in front of him, and landing in a super hero pose on the truck beside them.
I looked back at his phone, propped up to record. I decided to then join in the argument. (I think I knocked his phone over on accident)
I landed soundlessly behind Peter, going unnoticed. I can't tell you how badly I wished he wasn't here.
No one wants to fight friends.
"Cap-Captain? Big fan? I'm...SpiderMan," Peter saluted sheepishly in front of me.
Tasha caught my eye and gave me a look.
I felt a sinking feeling in my gut.
"Yeah, we'll just talk about it later," Tony said with exasperation.
"Hey everyone," Peter said in a more confident tone.
My eyes fluttered shut. He was hopeless.
Cap saw me, giving me a look like Tasha. "You've been busy," he said to Tony.
Tony's jaw clenched. "And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint, rescuing Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave; a safe place," Tony's voice rose, "I'm trying to keep-" he stopped. "I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart."
Cap looked to his side in irritation. "You did that when you signed."
I gulped, stalking slightly closer to Peter.
AntMan waved at me from his hiding spot on Peter's arm.
I waved back.
"Alright, I'm done," Tony shrugged lightly. "You're gonna turn Barnes over now, cause it's us, or a bunch of JSOC guys with no compunction about being impolite. Come one man," Tony said, voice going from angry to pleading.
Everyone stood on point, seemingly ready to pounce.
On my comm, I heard Sam say, "We found it. The Quinjet's in hanger five, north runway."
I braced myself.
Steve raised his hands, and an arrow shot right through the gap between them, breaking Peter's web.
I looked at Scott, who braced himself as well.
"Alright Lang."
Crap, I thought, as I back flipped off the truck just in time.
"Hey guys, there's something on the-"Peter was cut off as Lang returned to normal size, knocking Peter back into me and grabbing Steve's shield.
I guess back flipping off the truck didn't do me much good, either way Peter would've crashed into me.
I caught him, basically, and looked down at him. My arms were linked under his, and I was bent over him.
"What the?" He muttered.
