As I turn to my Greek class, they immediately cease their talking and turn to me.

" Alright today is a Friday and you know what that means," I say, getting ready. I have just given them a pop quiz and am getting ready for my usual Friday activity. The entire class groans, besides my star student, Annabeth Chase and her boyfriend, Percy Jackson. Instead, they tighten up. I eye them suspiciously. Every Friday, I tell my students something about Greek culture, and then they take notes on it and rewrite it in Greek over the weekend. Every Friday, Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson, tighten up.

"Today I will be talking about... the underworld," I start. Annabeth's body reacts to the one word and her hand immediately goes out in the aisle. Percy, who is sitting next to her, grabs her hand instinctively. I notice Annabeth looks as if she's preparing for the end of the world.

" The Greek underworld is ruled by the god, Hades. The underworld is the place where the dead go to be evaluated on whether they were good, average, or bad in their lifetime. The underworld also has an entrance to Tartarus," I say. I hear a loud intake of air. I turn to Annabeth and Percy.Annabeth looks as pale as a ghost. Percy's eyes glaze over, like he's reliving a nightmare.

" Tartarus is used as a prison for the titans, whom Zeus overthrew, with the help of his siblings, in order to become god of the sky. Tartarus-" A loud mind-numbing, shrill scream echoes through the air. I turn to where it came from. Annabeth Chase, is having a meltdown at her desk. Percy stands up, taking Annabeth with him. He embraces her, his face buried in her shoulder. Annabeth buries her face in his shoulder. They both are shaking profusely. Percy screams into her shoulder. Annabeth rubs circles on his back. They keep on mumbling strange things. I only catch a few words such as " out, Athena, Bob, blind, river, alive." Annabeth screams again. Percy kisses her. They both have tears running down their faces. Percy pulls away.

" We're out," he whispers, loud enough for me to here.

" We're out," she repeats. They kiss again.

" Miss Chase? Mr. Jackson? Do you need me to-" the bell interrupts me. The class files out of the room.

" Miss Chase, Mr. Jackson, can I see you?" I say. The two pull apart, grab their books and come up to me.

" What was that? Are you two ok?" I question. Annabeth looks over at Percy and wipes her wet face. Then she snaps her fingers.

" You were just letting us go and wishing us a good weekend," she says. I blink.

" Yes, oh, yes. Have a good weekend you two!" I say. They walk out of the classroom, hand and hand. I smile, then frown. Why do I feel like I lost part of the day? I shrug.
