Mortals Meet Percabeth

This isn't exactly a mortal but what the heck! In honor of Seaweed Brain's birthday, this is his birthday party through the eyes, of new demigod, Georgia Rodriguez, daughter of Hermes. Takes place a year after the Giant War, so it's Percy's 18th birthday. 

" What's the big deal about this again?" I ask my apparent older brother Travis. Before we start, lets get this straight. My name's Georgia, daughter of Hermes. I've only been at Camp Half-Blood for a few weeks. Travis sighs. 

" Georgia, we've been over this. Today's August 18th. Percy Jackson's birthday. This was the end of the Second Titan War, the day Luke was the one of the prophecy. The day Percy and Annabeth got together. A new oracle, a new prophecy, a new beginning. ," Travis says. Then Connor, his not twin brother, comes into the cabin. 

" And we threw Percy and Annabeth into the lake," he says. Travis laughs. Then a sly smile appears on his face. 

" You talk with Nyssa?" 

" Yep. Austin has to make a few more adjustments to the music, then it's set." Connor returns his brothers sly smile. 

"You guys are pranking this thing?" I laugh, crossing my arms. 

" Well, it's more of a surprise, but yes a prank. In a way,"Connor smiles. He looks up at the clock. 

" C'mon, lets go," he smiles. We walk down to the beach. More campers join us on the way. Most of them have hushed conversations with  Travis or Connor and then hurry to the beach or into the Big House. 

" Woah." The beach is set up with picnic tables and a giant banner reading, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PERCY! A giant bonfire is in the middle. People are milling around and eating. Some are in the water, splashing each other. Younger demigods run around squirting each other with water guns and throwing water balloons.

" You should see it on the fourth of July," laughs Travis. I m ill around with others talking and laughing. 

" Attention demigods!" yells a girl. Everyone turns to see the one and only, Annabeth Chase, standing next to Percy Jackson. Percy kisses Annabeth's head. A few cheers echo through the audience. 

" Today we celebrate the birthday of my fiance, this idiot, Percy!" Annabeth smiles. Percy grabs her hand. A cheer sounds out from the crowd. 

"PERCABETH!"

" Aphrodite is that you?" Annabeth laughs. The crowd joins in the laughter. 

" Okay. So today is a very important day in demigod history. Today is the end of the Titan War. Today was the day of many people's deaths. But it was also a day of a new prophecy, a new oracle. A new beginning. All of that turned out very crappy. Besides Rachel. She's amazing. Anyways, we celebrate a new year to Percy's life, a new year to our relationship, and two years since we've seen many faces. Please join me in a moment of silence." Silence blankets over every single demigod. Even the little demigods don't make a sound. 

Annabeth's voice comes, this time a little shaky. 

" We hope that everyone that was lost in the Titan War, has found there way to Elysium or a new life. Now join me in the singing of happy birthday," Everyone starts singing. Leo, a son of Hephaestus, lights all the candles. As the last note rings out, Percy blows out the candles on his pure blue cake. Annabeth kisses him. We all cheer. Just then, lightning echoes through the sky. A haunted evil laughter seems to sound from everywhere. I reach for my dagger. Demigods start pulling out weapons. 

"PERSEUS JACKSON..." a voice hisses. Percy's voice echos out. 

"What do you want? Who are you?" Silence. 

"To wish you a happy birthday, man. It's Connor," 

" And Travis." I put my dagger back on my belt. Some of the demigods laugh. 

" We fooled you, didn't  we? Yes!" the boys voices, come from everywhere. 

" Stolls?" growls Percy. He puts away Riptide

" Yes?" comes  the voice of Travis. 

" I will kill you for scaring me. But thanks for the birthday wishes," Percy smiles. Everyone laughs. So this was their sort of prank. 

" Anyways, Nyssa? Cue the slideshow." All of a sudden, on the side of the big house, a slideshow starts playing. Hall of Fame by the Script starts playing. Pictures start appearing. Percy and Annabeth hugging, a young couple kissing, a little boy smiling and holding hands with his older sister, young Annabeth looking up at my deceased brother, Luke. I recognize some of them from photos in the big house. People start crying. A few drawings are up there too. Probably by Rachel. A boy with an eye patch, people crowded around The Empire State Building and even two people, Percy and Annabeth, kissing underwater. At the very end of the song,  very fastly, pictures start flashing. All  those faces, not present here today.
