Before the words could leave your mouth you felt something else, lips, pressed gently against your own, ceasing your excuse. You stood there, completely startled, your eyes wide and in shock as you saw the Undertaker leaning downward, giving you a chaste kiss.

You could see through his blanket of silver locks, which had somehow moved messily to the sides. His long silver eyelashes were closed, his scar continuing over his left eyelid and up into his hairline, and his skin so pale you wondered if he was a ghost. But you could tell he was no ghost, as his hands made their way around your body, one firmly gripping your waist while the other gently cradled your head.

You honestly didn't know what to do. Did you miss something? But eventually your eyes fluttered closed as you pushed your lips closer to his, letting a meek moan leave your breath. His lips tasted so sweet, his tongue even sweeter, and you unconsciously let your mouth part slightly, feeling his lips connect with yours while his tongue roamed around your mouth, unbound.

Until something snapped in your mind, realizing where you are and what was going on, and you suddenly pushed your hands against his chest, pulling your face away and staring at him with wide, shocked, and hesitant eyes. "W-wait. No! S-stop, please."

"Why, my dear? Don't you enjoy~ this? –"

"It doesn't matter. This is all levels of wrong," you responded bluntly, your eyes looking into his face, and for the first time since you met him, you could see his shinigami eyes.

You could tell he could see you were suddenly captivated under his spell. But what was encapsulating wasn't his deadly gaze. Oh no. It was so... different. Something was different. You watched as his head shied away from you slightly, but you continued to reach up with a curious look now adorning your face, your palm cuffing the side of his cheek, and he let his eyes flutter close for a moment before blinking to look at you in confusion. You ran your thumb over his eyelid, his eyelid closing as you did so, and he let an amused smirk appear upon his face as you began to bite down on your bottom lip. You certainly looked frustrated, and you kind of are.

Why is he so... strange, even to you?

"Why are your eyes so... different?" you decided to ask, and you could tell the question startled him slightly, as you continued bluntly. "I mean, your reaper eyes look so strangely natural. So... put together. I've seen so many grim reaper eyes, but not like this."

"Just how many?" you heard him ask, and you could feel his grip upon your waist tightening, but he slumped his other hand onto your shoulder, before his gaze seemed to linger upon your shoulder as his hand wandered down your arm, slowing entangling his hand with your own.

"Ah... a few... B-but if you're trying to say you like me or something, I-I cannot accept this –"

"Why not?" he scoffed in response, as if your words were insulting or irritating.

But you couldn't help yourself. Your eyes began to feel watery, as if this death god was bringing back a wave of emotions that you've suppressed for years. For so many years.

You could tell you had startled him as you began to bite back a slight sob, and you wiggled your hand away from his as you held your hand up to your face, trying desperately to push back the tears as you wiped some strays away with your sleeve. "I can't relive this again. N-no. This is too much.

"I-I thought we were just having fun. Not falling in love," you confessed with a mumble, your eyes blinking as more held back tears fell down your face, but you could feel his hands now cuffing your cheeks, bringing your tear staining face closer to his. "P-please... if you have any humanity left in you... don't do this to me."
