A/N: HEY GUYS!!

Some cutsie progression with Undertaker and Selena's relationship, whoop!! While I am personally the type of person to like to tug out romantic relationships, we're already at chapter 37. So I'm quickening the pace a bit, guys. But no more beating around the bush!!

I have a bit more cute time after this chapter for a bit, but then after that I think I need to get this story back on track. I've been thinking on HOW to progress the plot and while I can go MANY different ways... I have a few ideas. It'll be fun ideas, but I'll end up introducing more OCs, which I honestly don't want to do, but it can help with the story progression. I do have a question for you guys. If I were to throw in angels, should I add Ash/Angela? Or should I just make up my own?? Cause if I go the Ash/Angela route I'll probably bring more of the anime into the story, season 1 & 2 I mean, instead of the manga. So... what do you guys think~?

I have to admit, I realize just how LONG I write. Like, this isn't a dang novel! I can rush to the best parts! But... meh, I don't know. Maybe I don't like rushing things, I don't know. But I hope you guys ENJOY this chapter and TELL me what you guys think!!

!@#$%^&*())(*&^%$#@!

I couldn't help but hum lightly in delight at how amusing Selena was, or rather more amusing then usual. This was that attitude of hers that I met the first time she appeared. The sassiness, straight forward nature of hers, that had slowly been beaten down as time wore on. Either that or she knows how to play a role, which if that is the case then she's just as crafty of a Phantomhive as I thought she was.

But seeing the delighted gleam in her face the moment I brought out the dessert was highly amusing, but what came next made me pause. "So, I know this is a touchy topic to ask about Cedric, but I have to ask... just why did you go rogue? Like, what was the final straw for you?"

"Must I answer?" I couldn't help but ask, unable to stop my pouting even though I knew what the answer to that question would be.

"W-well... if you won't answer that I can ask something else."

"You mustn't... judge me too harshly, milady," I began, a bit hesitantly, but noticing that the girl was picking at her cheesecake slice, which I only bought two big slices of, sadly for me, and began to plop a piece into her mouth I decided to speak with a meek smile adorning my face, while a thoughtful sigh left my lips while I began to gaze up at the clear blue sky. "For a very long time I wanted to leave that accursed association. At some point I stopped caring about any hope of a salvation. It's... a scam, really, cooked up to keep their reaper workers in line."

"Salvation... you mean that whole thing they say about if you work hard and do your job until you die in your second death you won't be cast into hell? Or something about sins being forgiven?" she questioned, but I chuckled lightly and shook my head.

"Aaah~, so you know about that, do y'ah?"

"A-ah... kind of, yes, but no one understands what that means," I heard her say with a sad tone in her voice, and all I could do is sigh along with her.

"It's entirely speculative. There's never been any guarantees that if we work till we drop we can be judged properly. The only one that knows is those that oversee such procedures. And there's always that chance, after we die, that they keep our reaper records and revive us whenever there is too much overtime," I scoffed in disgust, recalling all the times I had to see old colleagues, only for those reapers to have completely forgotten about me. And it's not worth it to continue such a one sided relationship. "We lost our humanities the moment we committed suicide," I decided to say, giving the girl a harsh look until I couldn't help but give her a slightly confused stare as she seemed to be lost in thought. "Something on your mind~~?"
