30: Drifting into Dreams

A/N: HEY GUYS!!

Sorry for not posting for a few days, but I just needed a break from working on getting this story in order. Plus, I was working every day till now and we've been working on counting our inventory. So... it's been a bit tiresome lately. But it wasn't like I wasn't unproductive! I have been writing a BUNCH of chapters and I've just reached 40+! Though... I may cut out the last chapter or two I just wrote. I don't know. The chapters didn't end the way I wanted them to so... yeah. Still working that out.

But anyways, I FINALLY finished reposting videos to each chapter [which was a BIG pain in my ass]. I have to be in a mood to listen to hoards of music, you know? But I've wanted to mix up my music/video watching so I decided to finish posting up new videos to chapters that lost their old AMV. Though, I don't know if I'll do that sort of work again. It was kind of a pain in the ass. But, I do have some time now! And this is kind of the start into a new part. Kind of?? Sort of.

So, just for some clarification since I noticed it got a tad confusing into the next chapters, Selena isn't necessarily staying at the Undertaker's place, permanently. You know when you just need to crash at someone else's house for a while? Either cause you don't want to be at home or you just need some company. That's kind of what is going on. Selena is going back and forth from the Phantomhive townhouse and Undertaker's place. Mainly the reason would be because that's where all of her clothes and belongings are. Like, maybe over time she's left a few nighttime stuff, an extra set of clothes or two, but she's not living there permanently... yet. Hopefully we'll be building up to that point, though. So... yeah. Just so you guys know. Cause I realized she jumps from Undertaker's place to the Midford's and then kind of back to the townhouse. It was confusing to follow, even for me, but time would have passed between those moments in time.

I'm trying to keep time passing relatively vague. A few weeks, a month, that sort of thing. Unless I TRULY want to put a date down in concrete. So if the time and days don't quite add up don't give it too much thought. [but I do apologize for anyone that is bothered by that. I can certainly be, sometimes... especially when it's my own god damn writing >.<]

Anyways, just to wrap this up, yes Selena is talking to 'Dream' in her sleep. At least, what she has eventually perceived to be 'Dream'. Dream as in Hypnos and Thanatos. That sort of idea. A bit of a twist on mythology. Maybe it's just Selena's way of figuring out her own problems in her mind or maybe the Dream is a real entity that can only be seen in one's dreams. I don't know... yet, but I'm playing around with it. But that's why I added this weird dream sequence. If you're curious to Hypnos' link with Thanatos I suggest just looking it up. It could~~ help you out with more odd thoughts I throw into this story, from time to time. I'm a nerd for mythology. Let's just say that.

So... yeah! We're getting close to the point that this isn't the writing I did in 2018 and it'll be the new material I've written in 2020. Just so you know! If there's a sudden whiplash of writing styles!! Anyways, I hope you guys ENJOY the rest of your weekend. And I'll SEE YOU SOON!!!

"It is," you heard a voice speak from behind your back, and you sighed as you turned to notice the entity of Dream itself standing behind you, giving you a curious glance as you stared at it wearily. "You are troubled, child?"

"Of course I am. I didn't find the questions I'm looking for a-and now that reaper knows more then he should," you scoffed, sitting down on nothing but air, but you didn't feel bothered by the fact that you felt something, yet there was nothing there. You're too used to this strange reality to question it, anymore. "Maybe I should just go."
