"Hey Chloe!" The host bounced over with a goofy grin.
"Hey Charlie!" Chloe replied as she walked up to hug the guy.
"Long time no see" He chuckled. "Still singing your heart out?"
"If I wasn't, I wouldn't be me now would I?" Chloe giggled and turned around. "You remember my family"
"Yes! Of course, James and your mom come in here once a month" He grinned.
"You do?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah, mom loves it" James shrugged.
Chloe knew her brother never was a fan of this restaurant due to being shut down by his ex girlfriend when he proposed to her here. So it was a bit surprising to her he would suck it up for their mom.
"Uh, I know everyone except the one standing in the corner" The host chuckled.
"Oh, that's Beca" Chloe smiled. "Just a friend"
"Nice to meet you!" Charlie smiled. "You can all follow me to your booth" He said before walking off.
Beca followed behind giving a glare to Chloe. She had just only referred to Beca as a friend when it was pretty clear at least to her that they were more then just a friend.
"Here you go" Charlie smiled.
Beca sat on the left side next to Chloe's brother. Chloe sat on the opposite side with her mother. The menu's were placed in front of them as Charlie was talking about the specials that the restaurant had to offer that night.
"And, Brittany will be right with you to take your orders. Enjoy and good seeing you Chloe!" Charlie said.
"You too!" Chloe grinned as he walked off.
Chloe's eyes returned to her girlfriend that was across from her. Beca had given her a cold look before turning her attention down to her menu; flipping through the pages that had all of their items listed.
The older woman studied Beca's posture. Her hand on her forehead as the other flipped the pages over. She looked a bit stressed and frustrated. Chloe couldn't understand to why she was feeling the way she was. Plus she knew she couldn't talk about it with her family here. Beca never talked about her feelings in front of others.
"So, are you two excited for this year of college?" Her mom asked the two girls.
"Is Chloe going to flunk again?" James smirked causing his mom to reach across the table and smack his head lightly.
"I told you, no more joking about your sister and college" She said.
"Least I'm getting a degree" Chloe stuck her tongue out at her brother causing her brother to just make the same face back at her.
"Beca, are you excited for college?" Her mom sighed.
"Uh, I guess. As excited as anyone can be to get college over with and move on" She shrugged.
"We were thinking of moving-"
Chloe was cut off by the waitress walking up. She let out a squeal once she saw Chloe though which made Beca cringe at the excitement from this random girl she didn't even know.
"Chloe!" The waitress screamed.
"Brittany!" Chloe screamed and quickly stood up to hug her. "Oh my god!" She added.
"Look at you!" Brittany yelled.
"Look at you!" Chloe yelled.
"You look so great!" Brittany yelled.
