"Okay, Ash, when we arrive at Heahea City in Akala Island, the Grand Trial Captain, Olivia, will be waiting for us and she will take us to the resort," Professor Kukui explained to Ash.
"Sounds like a great plan. Thanks a lot for taking us the resort," Ash said. "No problem," Professor Kukui. "I had told Olivia about you but said that she already knows about you from Hala," he continued.
"That's right, all of the rest of the Island Trial Challenge Captains and the Grand Trial Captains know about my true identity from Hala, and they all agreed to keep my identity a secret," Ash replied back. "Awesome. And we are almost there," Professor Kukui said as he and Ash saw the outline of Heahea City and Akala slowly approaching the boat. "Professor Kukui!" shouted a black haired and dark-skinned figure from the pier as she ran towards where the boat was about to stop as well as tripping over, causing everyone to sweatdrop.
"Ash, that is Olivia. She has this tendency to trip over occasionally," Professor Kukui said as the entire group disembarked from the ship and approached the Akala Island Grand Trial Captain. "Hi Professor Kukui, Kiawe, Sophocles, Lillie, Mallow and Lana," Olivia said. "It's great to see you again." She then turned to Ash.
"So you're Ash, right?" Olivia asked Ash while eyeing Pikachu and Lucario in interest. "That's right. Nice to meet you," Ash replied. "Hala told me about you. You must be a very strong trainer. However, before you battle me, you must complete Lana, Kiawe and Mallow's Trial Challenges first," Olivia said. "Yep, I'm aware of that," Ash replied back.
"Alright, let's make our way to the Island Paradise Resort," Professor Kukui as the entire group made their way to the front entrance of the resort which took a few minutes. Once they have made their way to the registration desk, Professor Kukui gestured to the others to stay where they are. "Okay, so I will get our cabin keys and this is how the cabin arrangements are made. The people sharing cabins in their individual groups are: Me & Ash, Olivia & Lillie, Mallow & Lana, and Kiawe & Sophocles," he said as the rest nodded in agreement.
A few minutes later, Professor Kukui handed out the keys to the cabin pairings and made their way to their cabin numbers with Professor Kukui & Ash with Cabin 110, Olivia & Lillie 111, Kiawe & Sophocles 112 and Lana & Mallow 113. "Hey Ash, is it okay with you if we began your first Island Trial Challenge tomorrow since it is now the afternoon?" Professor Kukui asked after entering Cabin 110. "Sure thing. I think it is best to let all of my Pokemon relax for tonight before heading out to my Island Trial Challenges and Grand Trials," Ash replied.
The next morning:
After spending the rest of the afternoon relaxing in swimming pools and water slides as well as getting a good rest, Ash and his Pokemon were ready for their first Akala Island Trial Challenge, which would be with Lana. It was about 7am when Ash, Pikachu, Lucario and Professor Kukui had woken up.
"Did you enjoy yesterdy's leisure activities?" Professor Kukui asked. "Definitely. It was so much fun," Ash said. "Honestly, I could not remember the last time I had so much enjoyable time due to being betrayed by some of my former friends and rivals," he added with a sad smile. "Oh I'm sorry to have made you bring that up," Professor Kukui said in an apologetic tone.
"No it's not your fault. I shouldn't have brought it up," Ash replied. "Okay, enough said. Let's head to breakfast," Professor Kukui. "Right behind you, and Pikachu, don't smuggle any ketchup or stuff your stomach with too much ketchup either," Ash said in a warning tone, causing Pikachu to sweatdrop and Lucario giving a slight snigger.
Once the entire group has had a hearty breakfast, all except for Ash, Pikachu, Lucario and Lana, had decided to explore the surrounding area while rest began to head off to Brooklet Hill, where the Trial Challenge would be held.
