"Invite him to the tournament? Are you serious?" asked Kiawe in a shocked matter.
"I know that it sounds like that I'm joking, but yes. I am being serious," replied Ash.
"Why though?" asked Lana.
"To give him a chance to redeem himself," answered Ash.
"But he is a criminal," said Lillie.
"Yes, I am aware of that Lillie. But Guzma is guaranteed to lose in one of the matches in the tournament. In fact, I'll make sure that he eventually faces against me," answered Ash.
"And how will you do that?" asked Sophocles.
"I'll explain to Charles Goodshow and Scott, since they're the ones organising the tournament, about letting Guzma joining the tournament despite being a criminal and purposely set it up to facing up against me in one of the matches," explained Ash.
"Good luck with that. Let's hope that your idea will be successful," said Mallow.
"In fact, I will talk to them now and will be back after about 20 minutes," said Ash and he went back to his cabin to retrieve his mask & cloak then headed to the Pokemon Centre with Pikachu and Lucario.
A few minutes later, the cloaked figure had arrived at the public telephones and dialled a number. A few seconds later, the faces of Charles Goodshow and Scott appeared on the screen.
"Good day, Red. What can I do for you?" asked Charles Goodshow.
"It's been a while, Mr Goodshow and Scott. There is a request that I would like to make," answered the cloaked figure.
"What is it?" asked Scott and the cloaked figure spent the next 10 minutes explaining the whole story of the relationship between Guzma, Hala and Professor Kukui and wanting Guzma to join the tournament as well as Guzma facing against him in one of the matches.
"I see, very interesting," said Scott after hearing the whole story.
"Hmm. Alright, we'll send an invitation to him as well. Note that it will take a few days since we don't know where they are at the moment," said Charles Goodshow.
"That's fine. Take your time. And thanks for accepting my request," said the cloaked figure.
"No problem. See you later," said Charles Goodshow and Scott as the screen turned off.
With Hala, Professor Kukui and the five students:
"Wonder if Ash was successful in letting Guzma join the tournament," said Lana.
"The feeling of having a criminal to join the tournament just doesn't seem right though," said Sophocles.
"I understand what you mean, Sophocles, but there is no other alternative," said Hala.
"Exactly, otherwise Guzma will just continue causing trouble for Alola if this doesn't stop," said Lillie while someone knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" asked Professor Kukui.
"It's me," replied the cloaked figure.
"Alright, come on in," said Professor Kukui as he opened the door and let the cloaked figure in, who took off his mask and cloak after entering Room 204.
"So how did you go?" asked Kiawe.
"All done and dusted," answered Ash.
"Awesome," said Professor Kukui.
"Though it will take a few days since Charles Goodshow and Scott do not know their location," added Ash.
"That's fine," said Hala.
