Cameron's Pokemon Moveset Update:
Watchog: Hyper Fang, Zen Headbutt, Swords Dance, Aqua Tail.
Ferrothorn: Power Whip, Stealth Rock, Spikes, Gyro Ball.
Swanna: Rain Dance, Scald, Hurricane, Ice Beam.
Samurott: Hydro Pump, Megahorn, Hydro Cannon, Blizzard.
Hydreigon: Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Flash Cannon.
Lucario: Aura Sphere, Water Pulse, Zen Headbutt, Iron Tail.
"This will be an official 6 VS 6 battle between the trainers Ash and Cameron. Substitutions can be made at any time and the battle will be over when all of either side's Pokemon are unable to battle. Can both trainers please send out their first Pokemon?" requested the referee.
"Ferrothorn, let's go," said Cameron as he sent out the Thorn Pod Pokemon into the battlefield.
"Noctowl, I choose you," said Ash as he sent out the Owl Pokemon into the battlefield.
"No way! Is that a Shiny Noctowl?" asked Serena.
"Indeed it is. I was as shocked as you were when I first saw it in the Sinnoh League," replied Dawn.
"Battle begin," said the referee.
"Ferrothorn, begin with Stealth Rock," ordered Cameron as the Thorn Pod Pokemon fired several small rocks into Noctowl's side of the battlefield.
"Use Hurricane," commanded Ash as Noctowl flapped its wings and fired a powerful cyclone of wind at Ferrothorn, scoring a direct hit.
"Now use Spikes," said Cameron as Ferrothorn began to spin its body and fired multiple sharp red spikes and fall on Noctowl's side of the battlefield.
"Interesting. Use Heat Wave," ordered Ash as Noctowl opened its mouth and fired a powerful wave of red flames at Ferrothorn, dealing heavy damage on the Thorn Pod Pokemon as well as burning it.
"So Cameron is using Ferrothorn as a set up for entry hazards every time Ash sends out a Pokemon," commented Alain.
"It is a smart strategy, but it often involves the risk of getting hit by attacks, especially ones that are super effective against the user," said Kiawe.
"Especially when Ferrothorn has a 4 times weakness to Fire-type attacks," added Max.
"Well Cameron used two different entry hazards, so let's see if the two entry hazards make it worthwhile," said Paul.
"Now use Gyro Ball," commanded Cameron, but Ferrothorn ended up faltering due to the burn it received earlier from Heat Wave.
"Finish this off with one more shot of Heat Wave," ordered Ash as Noctowl opened its mouth and fired another wave of orange flames at Ferrothorn, scoring a direct hit and knocking out the Thorn Pod Pokemon.
"Ferrothorn is unable to battle. Noctowl wins," said the referee.
"Return, Ferrothorn. Swanna, you're up next," said Cameron as he recalled the Thorn Pod Pokemon and sent out the White Bird Pokemon into the battlefield.
"Battle begin," said the referee.
"Swanna, use Ice Beam," ordered Cameron as the White Bird Pokemon opened its mouth and fired a powerful beam of ice towards Noctowl.
"Counter with Extrasensory," commanded Ash as Noctowl's eyes began to glow gold and fired a rainbow-coloured beam from the gem on its forehead at the approaching Ice Beam, creating a powerful explosion that covered the battlefield, damaging both Pokemon.
