Steven's Pokemon Moveset Update:
Metagross: Zen Headbutt, Meteor Mash, Earthquake, Giga Impact. Item: Metagrossite.
Aggron: Iron Tail, Stone Edge, Aqua Tail, Dragon Claw.
Claydol: Extrasensory, Earth Power, Calm Mind, Signal Beam.
Skarmory: Steel Wing, Aerial Ace, Rock Slide, Swords Dance.
Carbink: Power Gem, Moonblast, Calm Mind, Earth Power.
Aerodactyl: Stone Edge, Aerial Ace, Thunder Fang, Earthquake.
"This will be an official 6 VS 6 battle between the champions Ash and Steven. Substitutions can be made at any time and the battle will be over when all of either side's Pokemon are unable to battle. Can both champions please send out their first Pokemon?" requested the referee.
"Claydol, let's do this," said Steven as he sent out the Clay Doll Pokemon into the battlefield.
"Bulbasaur, I choose you," said Ash as he sent out the Seed Pokemon into the battlefield.
"A Bulbasaur? What is Ash thinking using a non-evolved starter Pokemon against a Champion?" asked Mallow.
"The reason it hasn't evolved is because it refuses to evolve due to the fact it is scared of its fully evolved form, Venusaur," answered Brock.
"But don't underestimate it. It's still equally powerful and has managed to defeat my Piplup and Serena's Sylveon with Ash's Pikachu," said Dawn.
"Battle begin," said the referee.
"Not too sure what you're planning, Ash. Claydol, begin with Calm Mind," ordered Steven as the Clay Doll Pokemon closed its eyes and its body began to glow white, increasing its special attack and special defense.
"Use Sleep Powder," commanded Ash as Bulbasaur fired a green powder from the bulb on its back, immediately causing the opposing Claydol to fall asleep.
"Now use Work Up," said the raven-haired trainer as the outline of Bulbasaur's body glowed red, increasing its attack and special attack.
"Wake up, Claydol," said Steven, but the Clay Doll Pokemon was unable to do so.
"Now use Power Whip," ordered Ash as two large purple vines appeared from the bulb on the Seed Pokemon and struck the opposing Claydol, dealing super effective damage, but also causing the Clay Doll Pokemon to wake up and give Bulbasaur an annoyed look.
"Finally, now use Extrasensory," commanded Steven as Claydol's eyes glowed gold and fired a multicoloured beam of light towards the opposing Bulbasaur.
"Counter with Power Whip once more," said the raven-haired trainer as two large purple vines appeared from Bulbasaur's bulb and clashed with the approaching Extrasensory, dealing heavy damage on both Pokemon.
"Hit Bulbasaur with Signal Beam," ordered Steven as Claydol fired a greenish-yellow beam of light towards Bulbasaur.
"Use Work Up," commanded Ash as the outline of Bulbasaur's body glowed red, increasing its attack and special attack, but the Seed Pokemon ended up getting hit by the Bug-type attack.
"Now use Earth Power," said Steven as Claydol slammed its body onto the ground, causing several cracks to appear and glow gold while heading towards Bulbasaur.
"Bulbasaur, dodge it," said the raven-haired trainer but the Seed Pokemon ended up hurting itself in confusion and was hit by the approaching Earth Power, resulting in its special defense lowered.
"Now wrap this up with Extrasensory," commanded Steven as Claydol's eyes glowed gold and fired a multicoloured beam of light towards the opposing Bulbasaur.
