After a brief eye lock Manik said to Nandini.
Ma-sleep on your stomach.
Firstly Nandini was confused but then silently turned around and waited for him. She felt the bed pressing and soon her hair were moved. Manik laid down beside her and moved her hair to get the view of her back.
He gently moved all her hair and let it rest on the pillow. When her bare back came infront of him, he gently roamed the tip of his fingers on her back and feeling the softness of his touch Nandini closed eyes.
Then for a moment nothing happened, no touch, no noise and then Nandini felt something cold on her back. She shrieked coz of the cold feeling and asked Manik.
Nan-kya kare rhe ho tum?
Ma-mei tumhe mera autograph de rha ho.
Nan-huh?
Seeing her confused he showed her the mehndi cone and smiled. Seeing that Nandini asked.
Nan-yeh kaha se lekar aaye tum?
Manik replied while concentrating on his work.
Ma-I took it from that designer.
Soon he was done with his work and looked at its beauty for few seconds. After this he said.
Ma-done.
Nandini was going to turned around but Manik got panicked, he stood her by palming her waist and almost screamed. All this happened in a blink of eye.
Ma-NOOO.......don't move.
His sudden shout scared her and Nandini stopped were she was and Manik said.
Ma-woh gila hai abhi........smudge hojayega.
Nandini who was scared relaxed a bit and then said.
Nan-I cannot sleep like this for the whole night.
Ma-thodi der......until it's dry.
She agreed and he laid down beside her. They were talking and after a while when the mehndi was dry she turned around and both slept as they were tired with all the work.
Next morning Nandini was busy in the haldi preparations and that's why there was lots of chaos in Malhotra mansion as haldi ceremony is going to be celebrated there. In btwn all the work Nandini came up to wake up Manik. Sitting beside him as his back was facing her, Nandini started waking him up.
Nan-Manik.......Manik utho.......plz aaj utho jao bahut kaam hai ghar pe.
Manik chuckled badly due to being sleepy and said taking her hand close to his nose which was resting on his biceps when she was waking up.
Ma-do min plz.
And he started inhaling the scent of her henna filled hands. Nandini waited for him and after forcing him he woke him up and resumed her work. Just before 1/2 hour of the actual function time, Nandini had managed to complete all the work.
