[Pokémon] May x Drew

Highschool | May x Drew [PART ONE]
"Hah! What a freak!" I heard a boy yell as he kicked me, throwing me onto the ground. "You really think you can be a coordinator, huh?"
I looked up to see Brendan and two members of his crew: Silver and Paul.
"You see, May." He grabbed my hair and pulled me up. "If anyone is gonna become a coordinator, it'll be me." He pointed at himself. "Not some dweeb like you."
"A-actually Brendan... anyone can become the coordinator... I-it just depends on-"
"SHUT UP!" He kicked me once more. "If only one person at this school can become a full fledged coordinator without gaining the ribbons, there's no way you'll be chosen!"
"Oi! Brendan!" I heard someone else yell. I looked up to see Drew, another member of Brendan's Crew.
"What is it, Drew?"
"Gladion's got his foot stuck in the toilet again."
"Again? How'd it happen this time?"
"Dunno, he won't tell."

Brendan sighed. "Fine." He looked at me and smirked. "We'll finish this later." He clicked his fingers and he, Paul and Silver walked away.
Drew came over and helped me pick up the books which I dropped. I had been on the way to the library to study for a test when Brendan intruded.
"Sorry about him." He said, handing the books to me. "He doesn't pick on you for no reason you know."
"What do you mean..?" I quietly asked.
"He feels threatened around you because you're better than him. Better at grades, at combinations, at basically everything and he's afraid of that."
"Huh..."
"So cut him some slack, he doesn't mean any harm really, he's just being pushed too far."

I nodded and quietly walked away. "Oh, by the way."
I turned around. "Yeah?"
"You studying for the Geography test?"
"Y-yeah..."
"If you ever need help, just call me, Geography is my best subject." He winked, throwing me a red rose. I caught it. "See ya, what's your name?"
"M-may..."
"Well, see ya June."
I rolled my eyes. "IT'S MAY!"
"Yeah, yeah, April."
I watched him walk away. I was irritated by his attitude but I was also pretty happy. Out of everyone who saw me being kicke,d he was the only one who helped.

I smiled as I walked into the library. Something told me that wouldn't be the last time I saw him.

"Well, well, Well." I heard someone approach me in the library. "Hey there, June."
I groaned once I realised who it was. "Drew." I gritted through my teeth. For the past few days since I had met him he hadn't stopped bothering me in the library and the Geography test date was closing in. I saw that he had two other people with him.
"Who's with you?" I asked.
"Oh, this is Ash." He pointed to a raven haired boy who waved at me.
"So is this your girlfriend, Drew?" He smirked.
"Well, She is a friend that's a girl." Drew smirked back. "Anyway, this is Gary." He pointed to a brunette.
"Hey, there. I'm Gary." He winked at me.
I rolled my eyes. "What're you doing here?"
"These guys suck at Geography so I'm gonna tutor them."
"Aren't you cutting it a little close? I've been studying for days and I haven't even made a dent in what I need to learn."
"Is that so?" He took my book which had a list of everything I needed to learn.
"Hey!"
"What class are you in?"
"Uh... Hoenn 1."
"Well- you don't need to learn all this stuff." He placed the book down and took a highlighter, he began highlighting a bunch of points I had written down. "There. That's everything you need to learn."
"Wait, what?! That's less than half of everything I wrote down!"
"Yep."
"So I've been learning things I didn't need to know?!"
"Yep."
"So I don't need to know how Team Rocket impacted the Johto Region?!"

I felt everyone tense up.
"N... nope. Just- Just don't talk about that around Silver."
"Silver..? Oh! That guy always hanging around with Brendan?"
"Did I hear someone say... Silver? As in my Silver?" I looked behind me to see a smirking face.
"Go away, Gold." I heard Gary groan.
"My, my, when I hear my dear Silver's name I must listen in on the conversation!"
Drew scrunched up his nose. "Go away Gold." Gary repeated.
"Well, would you like to hear the story of my dear Silver?"
"Crap." I heard Drew mutter before he grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the library.
"WAIT! I MUST TELL YOU THE STORY!"

We laughed hysterically as we ran away.
"Oh my Arceus. He reminds me so much of Harley." Drew laughed.
"Harley? As in tall, purple haired Harley?" I asked.
"Yup, know him?"
"Do I know him?! Of course I do! I was stuck as lab partners with that guy for years! He wouldn't stop blabbering about how amazing he was!"
"I know right! And he always does that arm waving thing that slaps everyone around him!"

I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt so I leaned against the wall giggling. After a while, we calmed down.
"So, what was Gold saying about Silver?" I asked Drew.
"Hm? Oh, that's a story for another time, heh." He looked up at the sky. It was the first time that I noticed his green eyes were just a tint lighter than his green hair which he had a habit of flicking. "Wanna go for a walk?" I looked at him.
"Yeah, sure."

We started walking through the gardens of the school.
"You know, considering we've been hanging around a lot lately, I still don't know much about you, June."
I rolled my eyes. "It's May, and I could say the same for you."
"How about we play a game then?" He stopped walking.
"What game?"
"It's kinda like truth or dare except without dares. I ask you a question and you have to answer truthfully and vice versa. We take turns until we reach the dorm rooms."
"Sound fun. I'll start Mr. Drew."
"Sure."
"Why do you hang around Brendan? I mean, you're so nice and he's so... not nice."
"Hah, well, you won't believe this." He chuckled.
"Believe what?"
"When we first started high school Brendan was a loner until he met me, I became friends with him and we started our little Crew."
"Huh, but he's in the same grade as me and you're a year older, how'd that work out?"
"Well, he began worshipping me as a God, it was hilarious, only because I became friends with him."
"Haha, wow, I would've liked to see that."
"Hm, my question now. Why weren't you there when Brendan first started school?"
"Huh? Well, you see, I joined a term later because I accidentally missed enrolling day."
"I see..."

I realised we reached the dorms. "Well... I guess we're here."
"So we are..."
"Well... will I see you tomorrow?"
"Yeah. Library? Same time as usual?"
"Yep."
"See ya, September."
I groaned. "May."
"Yeah, yeah January."
He waved to me as he was walking away.
"What an idiot."
