"Cut!"

The director, a short dark-complexioned woman in her early forties, waved her hands in the air and marched over to us. "Yuzuru-san, Touji-san, what's all this intense energy between you two? This is a family television commercial, not a daytime soap opera."

She was right, of course. The energy she was referring to was mostly because both of us were trying to say our lines while we were super turned on. Grandfather was sitting in his leather wingback chair on set, and I was supposed to be on one side of him with Yuzuru on the other. Even with a half-meter of space between us, I was hyper aware of Yuzuru's body heat. Of his presence, tangible and solid, within arm's reach. My hormones were flickering wildly with the need to touch him, and though the script allowed us to hold hands at the end of our lines, every time he reached for me we ended up cuddled together over Grandfather's shoulder with a nearness the director did not approve of.

For my part, I couldn't help it. He'd fired up my senses to where I could barely think. I could still feel his body pressing me into the back of the door, his tongue dancing urgently with mine, the firm strength of his ass muscles under my fingertips. I need you. Seryou, please.

God. My insides were quivering with chills and adrenaline.

"Give me a moment with them, Director," Shino said from the darkness beyond the stage. She appeared in the pool of light cast by one of the huge, bright lamps, with one hand on her hip. "Get over here, you guys, I want you to look at something."

Yuzuru and I exchanged glances and made our way across the decorative rug to where she was holding her phone out. "Look what you're doing right now," she said, and hit play.

It was a behind-the-scenes type shot of the filming.

"Drink coffee," Grandfather said, smiling and toasting the camera with a coffee cup. His trouser legs were pulled up to show off brightly rainbow-striped socks.

"Love bravely," Yuzuru added from over his shoulder, then cast a sizzling look in my direction. He held his hand out. I stepped up to him, until our faces were so close you couldn't tell from the camera's perspective if there was any space between us or if we'd just started making out.

"Be happy," my voice sounded. I was staring into his eyes as if I was about to start licking his face like an adoring housecat.

And god, if only we weren't here in front of all these people... He'd managed to turn me on so much. I didn't know if he'd really meant what it sounded like when he'd said I need you, when he'd tried to unbutton my pants, but I couldn't wait to get him home and find out. I could only hope that by the time we got done here, he wouldn't have changed his mind.

Shino cut the video off and fanned herself. "You two have the chemistry a drama director dreams of," she said, "and this is gonna be one very juicy making-of clip for the Instagram site, especially after I splice it together with shots of that crazy knife guy from earlier and Yuzuru-kun busting in here to drag Touji off to a closet." She bobbed her eyebrows, and I blushed. "However," she pointed at our freeze-frame faces on her screen, "this isn't going to work for the commercial. The idea is to paint Happy World Coffee as a friendly, wholesome place for everyone, not a gay singles bar, got it? If you guys can't get it together maybe we should take a break while you head back into that closet for a bit. We'll wait."

I shook my head, feeling my face burn. Actually, I'd like nothing better, but that wasn't how I wanted things between us to go. Yuzuru was so skittish. If this was going to happen I wanted to be alone with him, to be able to take our time without the risk that something would distract him. He had to be fully aware of what we were doing, and not just swept up in an emotional fray he would regret later. I didn't know yet if he was even consciously willing to let me break his rules, though it appeared he'd pretty much decided he didn't need to follow them himself.
