Much to my luck, my mother was indeed the teacher in charge for our costume designs.
"My raspberry delight, you haven't gotten any designs done yet!" She came to hop around me with a warm smile. "Let mama see! Let mama see!"
"I'm working on it," I groaned, hiding my head under my arms.
"Mama's got ideas for you!" She proudly went to her desk, running to the front of the class with the papers she held and I felt dread wash through me. "These are costume ideas for my daughter as a pro hero! This is the first one!"

"Mom, please, no," I grumbled, watching her bounce about the class to make sure everyone saw her designs. "White probably isn't a good color for me anyways," I mumbled and she ran to me.
"What was that, my baby apple? Not white! I have more options! Mama came prepared!"

Her bubbly attitude had the class laugh nervously, her light hearted manner easing us nonetheless.
"What do you think, hmm?" She leaned by my seat, her design in front of me.
"Too fancy, I want something simple," I sighed, my eyes meeting hers while hers beamed.
"I've got just the mixture! I saved the best one for last!" She pulled her final paper out, ranting on about how it was taken from her costume idea as well and I laid my head over the table.
