Shoto's POV

"You never seemed to let anything get under your skin," he laughed, tossing his head back. "But this, this one," he ran a finger over Y/N's cheek, smirking when I glared at him. "She's someone you hold close, no?"

"Get your filthy hands off of her, you human piece of shit," I seethed, the binds around me keeping me from moving.

"Always kept to yourself, silent and distant, but she warmed something inside of you, did she not?" His lips breezed over her cheek, her eyes shut as she was chained to the chair.

"Let her go, or I'll-"

"You'll what? Save her? It's too late. She's not yours anymore," his smirk was strong before he locked his lips with hers and I felt my eyes line with red, the edges becoming blurry in my line of vision. "Blue fire, hm? Impressive, I didn't think you held the ability to wield that high of a temperature flame," he licked his lips as he pulled back, his eyes staying over me.

"You disgust me," I spat at him.

"I do have to say, she'd look quite glamorous as a villain, hm? Don't you agree?"

"Shoto!"

I blinked, my cheeks feeling slightly wet and I sat up abruptly, the room dark around us and I heaved for air.

"You human piece of fucking shit," she shouted at me, pulling me into her arms, her body warm and I felt my arms wrap around her to tighten our embrace. "Don't scare me like that, I thought you were having a heart attack."

"What? I-I'm fine," I breathed out, feeling her hand run over my chest, my breath hitching at her action.

"No, you're not. You're not fine, and that's okay. Let's talk about it, I'm here, I'm not going anywhere," she comforted me, her warm skin pressing to mine and I let out a breath of relief.

"You're mine," I told her and she blinked at me.

"Shoto, what the fu-"

"Promise me you'll stay mine, no matter what," I felt my chest tighten, my eyes burning as tears began to fill them.

"Yours, all yours," she nodded, pushing her lips over mine gently.

She kissed me slowly, leaving soft kisses over my face before showing me her hand.

"You're sweating and you were screaming, do you want to talk about it? I'm not going to pressure you, just tell me if you feel comfortable with discussing what happened with me."

"A nightmare," I realized, laughing lightly after. "It was only a nightmare, I-I had a nightmare. That's all, it wasn't real. You're here with me, you're not with him, you're a hero, not a-" I cut myself off, my eyes meeting her wide ones before I realized I was now crying.

"I love you, Shoto."

I began to sob, rough shakes of my chest jerking my body back and forth when she pulled me close to her. I felt like I was crying about a lot, like all the tears I had held in for several memories were now all running out from my eyes. Almost as though a dark grey cloud that rumbled up until it finally burst, each teardrop like a raindrop across my skin.

"I love you, so much."

"I-I love y-you too," I didn't know why I was stuttering so much, the sight seeming to fade away as I took in her scent.

"You don't have to speak until you're ready, I'll hold you until you need," she kissed my shoulder, her hands running through my hair.

She played with the ends of my hair, her arms tight around me. Her face was warmly rested over my shoulder while I had mine nuzzled deeply into the angle of her neck. There was so much I felt like saying, bringing up, asking. At the same time, I didn't feel like speaking, our actions doing more reassurance to me than any words could.
