Chapter 16

I'm humming and partly singing the song playing on my iPod as I paint.

Our humanities teacher allowed us to roam around the whole campus to get some inspiration for our pre final artwork.

Ria's inspiration is the football players playing in the football field, while mine is abstract sky with different colours.

I was so engrossed in it na hindi ko namalayan na may mga college students na sa likod ko.

"Wow! That's what you called art!" Puri ng isa sakanila na may tattoo sa forearm.

"Thank you po." I courteously said.

"Wait? Aren't you the senior high school student who won miss university last month?" Gulat na sabi ng lalaking nakasuot ng Nike headband. Probably a basketball player cause he's holding a ball.

May mga babae at lalaki sa grupo nila ngunit pawang mga lalaki lang ang nag tatanong.

"Yes po. Hailey Zairyl Mendres." I extended my hand to introduce myself.

They look very pleased with my action.
Of course, I have manners.

"Nice. We never thought that you're friendly pala. Usually you're very aloof." The girl with red eye glasses said. I smiled at her.

They all look nice so this should be fine.

"By the way my name is Mabel, this is Chuck, this is Raven, this is Taus, this is Harry and this is Jennica." They all extended their hands to shake mine but Taus just high five me and smirked.

I just hid my hands in my back with fist close. Yabang!

I look at the group, Chuck is the one with the tats, Raven is the one wearing Nike headband, Mabel is the one wearing red eye glasses, Harry is the one holding Jennica's hand and I think Harry's girlfriend, while Taus is... well, the most good looking in this group, I'd give him that, but his physique and aura is screaming trouble!

Plus he has piercing in his tongue too!

How did I know? He's playing with it while shamelessly staring at me.

"Nice to meet you all." They all smiled after I smiled on them. Totally avoiding lingering an eye contact to that Taus.

"Haiz!" Ria was calling me with a wide grin as she's half running coming my way.

"You could've just walk, that's very unladylike." I said as she reach me.

She just rolled her eyes and her giddiness is back.

"Oh my gosh! Blue is looking for you!" She said giggling, but when she realised I'm talking to other people she said sorry.

"Oppps." Ria said hiding behind my back.

I smiled apologetically to the group.

"So you're Blue's girlfriend?" Jennica asked looking all curious.

I can feel Taus piercing eyes on me kahit hindi ako tumitingin sakanya. What the?

"N—no." I answered.

"Not yet is the right answer Haiz." Ria said making all of them stare at me.

I was about to respond on that but Blue is coming our way with a bouquet of tulips.

"Baby." He shamelessly said infront of everyone. I almost choke.

It took me some minutes to realise that he's handing me the bouquet.
